I don't even know how I missed this,
Linda. I'm sorry to hear that your bunny has arthritis. What kind of medication is she on? My cat Mr. Boo has severe spinal arthritis, so I have a feeling we're going through something very similar with our pets.
About last night's flood...about 45 minutes after I had everything cleaned up and made that post, the lake in the basement was
BACK!!

Mark still wasn't home, so I called the neighbor to help me figure out where the mystery water was coming from. Turns out the pressure valve on our hot water heater was leaking! Our neighbor got it to mostly stop for the night and brought over his shop vac and helped me clean up for the second time, and today he and Mark replaced the valve and we're good!
I knew it was impossible that it was the washer because of a whole separate issue. Earlier that afternoon the same neighbor was over, delivering a new used washer for us that he fixed up. We did the test run, and it totally didn't empty--that water wasn't going anywhere! So today they drained it and took it apart and found the problem. I ordered the part this afternoon, and hopefully it'll be here within the week and I can wash clothes at my own house again!
If it had been the washer, there's a floor drain right there that the water would've made its way into eventually. Our laundry room is long, and the washer is on the total opposite side of the room that Lake Aquarius had formed in.
