You earn points for running linux, and even more points for installing device drivers with ndiswrapper.
I formally return your geek-gauntlet to you. Wear it with pride.

I think maybe I have to give the gauntlet back again, as after much swearing and hair tearing, I chucked the stupid wireless card as useless and got a much better faster d-link one for $10 (free ship) from hong kong on ebay. just tried to plug it in to the computer, but its stupid chassis thingy was in my way so after some more swearing and digging around for a screwdriver, I got that thing unchassis'ed and crammed into my motherboard. Turn the frankenstein comp on (i have crafted it from dead parts) and it's like "Hey wanna connect to the internet? here ya go!" with zero effort from me. *sigh*
I kinda liked the pre-plug'n'play days when you really had to get your hands dirty (or at least fiddle with some jumper settings) to make something work. But maybe that longing
alone is enough to requalify me for my geek PPE. Hmmm. I *am* good at geek longing. And I *am* Trissing from the kitchen, so I *did* prevail in the end. And it only cost me $10 due to my geek hong kong outsourcing. Yeah, okay, gimme my gauntlet. Ahhhh. Feels good.

(Note newly coined phrase "Trissing" lol )
