Oh, but if you're *really* good looking it's not cheating. It's just being friendly.

S'how it is in TV land, anyhow.

Sorry but cheating is bad enough in RL I don't get entertained by it. Now if I were the fiancee, (who happens to be my age) I'd get his back-up gun and shoot him in the knees.

One more thing that bothered me, (and I can't believe a technical consultant didn't catch this) Niece should not have pursued wanted fugitive into a house without back up. In RL she would have been in HUGE trouble. Very big violation of protocol. My cousin is a cop. Not a good one, but I know that that is a very big no no.

I hadn't realised this "good cop, bad cop" thing was organised so formally.

I am NOT going to get into a debate about the minutae of "The Chicago Code." It's a just a TV show that I happen to work on.

I enjoyed it very much, especially since I saw about a dozen of my fellow co-workers in the first episode.

I will say this though:

I think most of the accents are spot on, especially Jennifer Beals who is from Chicago.

Jason Clarke is Australian and so I think his accent is pretty darn good, considering. If I hear anything odd from him it's his accent slipping through.

There is a Chicago Detective on set at all times who acts as a technical advisor. 112 Chicago Police men & women work on the show as extras. Shaun Ryan, the producer, who also produced "The Shield" believes that realism is vital to the quality of the show. I don't think he'd let a dumb mistake slide through in the pilot.

Just my opinion.

I'm sorry Aikiweezie I didn't mean to sound like I was baiting you. I was really excited to watch because you do work on the show. I just thought I'd say what I thought about it. It is only the first episode so who knows, I can't really tell if I'm a fan until at least the 6th.

Cogito As for my cousin I didn't mean he was a bad cop in the "good cop/bad cop" cliche, I meant he actually is a sleezy cop. But when you have his parents...

...watching?

...my two huge dogs making out on the floor. They lie there and lazily growl and growl and lick each other's muzzles/molars for whole dozens of minutes at a stretch. Silly boys.

My boys don't usually lick each other. Jack "grooms" Butch only, licking his face and eyes as if he's cleaning them. I don't know if it's a dominance thing or what.

You earn points for running linux, and even more points for installing device drivers with ndiswrapper.

I formally return your geek-gauntlet to you. Wear it with pride.

... cooling?

A couple of very minor bruises from last nights fun-filled visit at the Pagan Fest. I may report that at 39 (my friend, as of today) and 37 (me, as of Wednesday) we are way too old for the mosh pit, which is why we did it anyway... repeatedly  I also managed to take part in the wall of death, which was huge fun.

A lot of fun was had by the two :wise: laughing at the young folk coming to a metal concert with ear plugs :guffaw: That's like having Claudia Schiffer in bed and sleeping on the sofa.

All in all it was mucking fagic and the two :wise: will be back mocking the youth at the Hell Fest in Paris in two months time

cheers, Kotik Image

...watching?

I finally got to see the latest Harry Potter movie. Not enough Snape in it if you ask me. And Hermione still makes me feel like a dirty lower middle-aged man. :wise:
