He's pulling people up on stage for their questions!
Re: VEGAS 2010!!
Two more days of con fun left! I just wish I'd quit waking myself up at 6:30 am and not getting dinner until 10:00 pm. Oh well, it's been worth every moment.
So far, my favorite guest has been Avery Brooks. If you ever get the opportunity to see him, do! I mean it. The man is too cool for the word "cool"--they need to make up a new one in order to capture it. Think part groovy old-school blues musician mashed up with the favorite college professor who became your mentor. Seriously. Next time I get a chance at an autograph, a photo op, and a meet-and-greet with him I'll do it. I was so impressed by how he treated the fans.
Many have been very friendly in the autograph lines. Last night's DS9 panel was a riot. Casey Biggs and Jeffrey Combs bantered with me and each other about the pix I chose for them to sign. Casey was impressed when I told him all my pix were a gift from my roommate, who I hadn't met in person prior to the con. James Darren was nice, and Aron Eisenberg is very friendly and personable. Nana Visitor scored big points when she told me she liked my hair!
The stars from the day before were a little less talkative. Eric Menyuk had a plane to catch so by the time I got up there he was coming to us through the line, signing on his way out. Sally had to leave early for sound check at the Stratosphere as she was part of the entertainment at the gold party, so I got her sig yesterday instead, at her table in the dealers room. Since there wasn't the pressure of a line to get through she spent w few minutes talking to me and personalized the autograph. Very nice lady!
Back to Friday: Stephens Beecham didn't say anything to me, but she did personalize for anyone who wanted it which was nice. The highlight was Walter Koenig. He looked at the pic I handed him and smiled. He asked if it was ok to sign in the wide white border around it, and I told him he could do anything he wanted. He said he didn't know if I planned to frame it, and I told him I did, and I'll frame to accommodate whatever he does. He laughed at that.
Other highlights: making new friends a Detroit Metro Airport before the con even began, when I saw Mo and her son Trevor reading ST books at the gate. I introduced myself and we've been hanging out since. Also, I got to have lunch with @NJBolton, who I know from Twitter (plus I think she's registered here) and her roommate Deb. And, my roommate, JiNX-01 from TrekBBS has been great! We're having a lot of fun together.
Will update more when I can.

Re: VEGAS 2010!!
Sounds like a con, including the old and new friends and the lack of food and sleep. Wish I was there, hungry and sleep deprived and basking in the brilliant glow of all things Star Trek.
I'm donating my body to science fiction.

I didn't meet Avery Brooks, I just saw him speak and perform.

Re: VEGAS 2010!!
Give him a big hug from all of us, 'kay? Ask him if he remembers the gang in the "Not.Dead." t-shirts from the 2008 Cleveland Vulkon. I'll bet he remembers Lord Emperor in the elevator in Cleveland wearing the "Too Sexy: Not.Dead." shirt.
