It's in the Decon Chamber. It's hard to explain why . . . and I couldn't even categorize this story into any of the preset genres, lol . . . but it does remind me of a particular episode of "Malcolm in the Middle."

There is no actual sex in this story.

I read it. I forebore to comment because, well, I was brought up to believe that there are certain things one discusses only with one's doctor. When offensive body emissions occur, the proper thing to do here in the south is to politely ignore them, or if someone is tasteless enough to bring them to one's attention, a polite "pardon me" from the offender is the only discussion that occurs. If there is a need to refer to such occurrences later we invariably find a pleasant euphemism for them. This is why southern women "glow" rather than sweat. It's also why discussions such as the one in your story would be considered very offensive by most women I know. My father, on the other hand, would probably like your story. Of course, this is a man who still has fart contests with his grandsons.

I have a confession to make:

This next piece is a bit of self-indulgence on my part. Asso wrote a response to the April challenge, a poem. Now, poetry usually isn't my thing--it isn't that I dislike it, but I just feel inadequate in terms of critiquing it because A) it seems a little more subjective than other literary forms, and B) I'm kinda tone-deaf where poetry is concerned.

So when a piece of poetry conjures a vivid picture in my mind, and feelings to go with it, I can look at specific thing in it and say "Ah-ha, this is special."

Such was the case here, so I had to ask the author for his blessing to upload it, because I thought it was special.
