Brainstorm - An Epilogue about Lorian

Ahhh!!! DONE.

Don't worry, I'll still be here chatting and posting stories for others.

Oh, right, I know it looks like the wrong color background. It's a Lorian story (thus the Library of P'Jem background), but it's the epilogue to a Trip and T'Pol story that appeared in the Triaxian Silk main section, so I posted it there.

I am pleased to announce, the epilogue to my story Brainstorm and (coincidentally) my retirement from writing!

I'm not a writer per se. That is I don't think of myself as or aspire to be a "writer." I'm a Star Trek fan who got grabbed by a story idea and it wouldn't let me go. I wrote my first fanfic 15 years ago, before there was a busy Internet! I wrote the second immediately after the season finale just because I was so bothered by the ending. THEN I found the Internet community. It could very well be another 15 years or never before another idea grabs me by the throat.

I DO think of myself as an editor.

But not to change the subject: Everybody read the epilogue to Brainstorm.

Yes, a "hiatus" of indefinate length. Asso, I've gotten some compliments as an editor before, but that was the best one ever! I've got to print that out and put that on my bulletin board to keep me plugging along as I correct the economics articles I work on.

It's true that I "retired" before. Right after "Reunion." I stayed retired for a year I think. If I'm reconstructing this right, I got discouraged with "Reunion" because it was an alternative timeline and I had established that alternative timelines were fragile. My original idea was to reunite Trip and T'Pol and they all live happily ever after until one night, 10 or a hundred years down the road, they all snap out of existence. What a BAD idea! By this time I cared too much about the alternative version of the characters. Then one day it occurred to me

SPOILER!!!:

that I needed to deposit Lorian with his AU cousins in Telluride.

And Daniels would just leave them all be! And I was OFF!

In further proof that life is not fair, I'm posting the most recent submission first, because I haven't heard what the hell is up with the mailbox from the last admin yet.

My apologies to those of you who have been waiting to see your stories up. I'll just keep working backwards until somebody tells me what's going on.
