As long as the burn isn't so deep it causes scarring, all you need are a good pair of dark sunglasses and some strong pain pills for a few days, actually. And maybe antibiotic ointment if you're worried about infection. Superficial corneal injuries heal pretty rapidly, but they hurt like stink. I think the anti-inflammmatory drops they use after Lasik are primarily to reduce the swelling so the patient can see better sooner, because I never use steroids on corneal injuries. I was taught in school that steroids can actually slow the healing time.

Re: The Whine thread.
I was thinking more of flash blindness, as in what happens when you get a glimpse of the welding arc.

Yep. That's what I'm talking about.

Looks like adding steroids is an option for more severe injuries because it reduces scar formation. Dilating the eyes helps too. I send the people with more severe symptoms to an opthalmologist, though, and let them do that.

Re: The Whine thread.
I caught a couple flashes when my mask was up, but the blue spots went away after a few minutes. Dad says I'd have needed a longer exposure to get any damage and that it would feel like gravel in my eyes. I am mildly worried though as my right eye seems to be having a little harder time focusing than normal.

If the symptoms last longer than a couple of days, you need to get your eyes checked.

Re: The Whine thread.
I'm whining cause I'm in the middle of an "open house" and my livingroom looks like this:

and Aureilia wants to play with toys and she can't. I can't even sit on the couch lest I "squish" the cushions.
31 minutes to go.....

How do you DO that? Where do you put all the STUFF? To get even one room of my house to look like that I'd have to put furniture in storage and give a carload of stuff to Goodwill.

Re: The Whine thread.
My house is full of crap. Lots and lots of crap.
It bugs me, but it's not my crap, so there isn't much I can do. I'm not sure how people keep their houses so clean. I have all I can do just to keep up with the laundry and dishes.
Good luck with the open house.

Good luck with the open house.

Good luck! Looks like you know what you're doing with this real estate thing.

Here's how:
Step #1: Put furniture in storage.
Step #2: Give many things to Goodwill.

Open house went well...lotsa peeps...got a guy dragging his wife back today to look at it again. :fingers crossed:

EK, this room is alive!
Well yes. I continue to write. And on Fanfiction.Net, for those who want, it is possible to cast a glance at my latest efforts. We arrived to
The Ears of the Elves, chapter Forty-four
And here is the beginning of the whole story.

But, I must say, you could also find something else on Fanfiction.net written by me. If you want.

Guy and wife are here in the kitchen now with Priso and babyScribe (whom we should upgrade to preSchoolerScribe). She's the littlest real estate agent. "C'mon guys! Come'n see MY room! I have a TURTLE pillow!"

Re: The Whine thread.
And since my house never looks like this for more than the six seconds that we show it, I shall post these pictures I took and pretend like I live like this all the time:
(with a three year old! as if!)

Saw that my eyes were really bloodshot last night, so this morning I went in to student health to see if they thought I had flash burn. Doctor says he doesn't think I do. Said that the surface of my eyes are irritated by something, but that there are no burns, and that the back of my eyes look like perfect mirrors. Do you think I should maybe see an eye doctor anyway? I don't have any of the other symptoms of flash burn that I can tell.
