Yes!
These Pics are really considerable. :D
Well yes. I continue to write. And on Fanfiction.Net, for those who want, it is possible to cast a glance at my latest efforts. We arrived to
The Ears of the Elves, chapter Forty-four

And here is the beginning of the whole story.

But, I must say, you could also find something else on Fanfiction.net written by me. If you want.

Oh and guess who I (we) met? Richard Jefferies, Matt Jefferies' brother! THE Matt Jefferies! I did not know this but he died in 2005 :(

But he was terrificially interested when I told him that I was writing a series with Matt Jefferies in it as a Starfleet officer since he had been name-dropped so many times as a design engineer with Starfleet. He thought that was really cool. He told us all about his brother.

Very cool pics! 8) You really do seem to have a blast.

And why am I not surprised at the characterization of eK "sober is like most people drunk"! Or that she went up and chatted with Billingsley and Connor, and then showed off her "scary" manips!

And if I'd been Elessar, I'd have stayed in the bar with Gigi.

What the heck does this mean?

Or maybe I should use stronger language?

Apparently they tried to chew more than they could swallow, financially. According to Jedikatie they were first time organizers and wrongly opted for a larger con, with too many guests, and they simply couldn't handle it. So they pulled the plug, right in the middle of John Billingsley's Q & A.

Yeah, stronger language is recommended! :censored:

Um, HOW did you guys hear about this already??
But yes. Yes they did.

We'e trying to decide if "FakeCon '08" or "NonCon '08" is a better moniker for this shenanigan.

I'll add a bit more in a minute about John BIllingsley's absolutely AMAZING intervention on the part of the fans, and if everyone here wants to take a moment once Jonny and I have filled you guys in on the details, and send him a kudos, you can do so at webmaster@johnbillingsley.net.

What a cool guy.

PS: I'm still glad I flew here and I would have come again in a second, fakecon notwithstanding, since John and Dis are so very very awesome, and I got to talk to both Billingsley and Trinneer, and that's all I wanted anyway.

Disappointed, but tomorrow we're off to the Grand Canyon, at JustTripn's suggestion, and we're excited about that!

More to come shortly, and pix.

However that may be, it seems to me that all of are glad and had a good time.
A small enquires from a guy who doesn't be used to such sort of occurrences.
Jolene (my beloved T'Pol)... Doesn't she be accustomed to mix with these things?
I wonder: Is she still T'Pol?

The biggest reason, they said, because we talked to some FedCON people outside of the main announcement, was that they just didn't sell enough tickets.

They had one or two guests cancel but nothing outside of the typical for a con. I don't think it had to do with having "too many guests" as much as simply not knowing how to run a con in general.

Turns out this was actually run by Tim Brazeal from TrekUnited. He had made a deal w/ FedCON back in 07 and they pulled out in January but let him keep using the name. Big mistake on their part now, b/c it makes FedCON look horrible.

Jolene wasn't at this con though, Asso. Not sure if you thought she was. Just Connor, Billingsley, and Montgomery from Enterprise - but Montgomery didn't even show up.
