Fox is using those clips in advertising promos for the movie. I read an interview with Frank Spotnitz on IGN in which he said David and Gillian were doing camera tests at Chris Carter's house before they started shooting, and they ad-libbed some stuff, which became these promos. :)

The new XF2 trailer--the one they showed at Paleyfest, I think--is up at the movie site. http://www.xfiles.com
