"Alelou" is already taken in a surprising number of places. It's an amalgam of Alejandro and Lourdes, my son and stepdaughter, that my husband picked out when he was setting up AOL for the first time a million years ago. I've used it for so long I hate to go with anything else.

And yeah, yeah, the first times are slow, but everything is better after that I know this because one of my neighbours plays the piano (and I've heard her practises all my life.)

Okay, I'm bummed. They pulled "What Hurts the Most" and suspended MelBell's account at YouTube.

I really liked that video and I never emailed her to try to get a copy because I figured I could just play it at YouTube.

I don't get this. If I were a record company, I'd be happy to get my songs out there in a setting like that. It's great marketing. I didn't even know I liked Rascal Flatts until I saw that video. Or Nick Cave on another one. Or Coldplay for that matter. Or a whole bunch of other songs. Now I'm interested to hear more of their stuff.

Of course, I haven't bought any of the songs either, but that's mostly because I haven't jumped into the MP3/IPOD generation yet. It's on my list of things to do. I just finally got a CD player in the car as a Christmas present. You have to give some of us a decade or two to catch up on this stuff.
