Poor JT
Whine: it's almost 5am and I'm awake because those stupid drunkies were having a really loud party right outside my door and I couldn't sleep.
What the frell. And I have to work soon
they stopped now (I hope) so I'm gonna try to go to sleep what little time I have.

Nothing serious, I hope.

Well yes. I continue to write. And on Fanfiction.Net, for those who want, it is possible to cast a glance at my latest efforts. We arrived to
The Ears of the Elves, chapter Forty-four
And here is the beginning of the whole story.

But, I must say, you could also find something else on Fanfiction.net written by me. If you want.

JT, lie low and get well. Your family can get their own dinner if necessary. I found out my husband was fullly capable of that, despite pouting. When I am sick it is an inconvenience. When he is sick - the world is supposed to stop and take care of him!

Working on a major fan fic project. Two-thirds done. Hope to put it up in the not TOO distant future.

Make sure you use the green death flavor of NyQuil - that'll put you right out.

Did you know that stuff is higher proof than beer? It's like taking a shot of absinthe with your antihistamine.

I'd like it too if they made some that tasted good. I guess they had to make it nasty so people wouldn't drink it by the bottleful and kill themselves. The alcohol wouldn't get ya, but the acetaminophen sure would!

That reminds me of my little adventure with "local wine" in the Pyrénées and antihistamine a long time ago. By this time, I was on antihistamine because of a bad case of hayfever. I went to the summer festivities in the small village where I was staying. We had a big fire to celebrate the summer, ate local cake and drank local wine ( tastes marvelous but knocks you down before you realize it). Suffice to say, that I don't remember much after my only glass of wine. The morning after, I woke up in my bed without any idea how I got into it and with my historical book about French Renaissance laying open on my belly! I don't remember even opening the book or reading anything that night.

Re: The Whine thread.
you know I don't whine that much, so I've got a good one here....
Alright, none of you probably know that I've been employed 3 days a week at McDonalds as well as work study at the college. Since I started working about 6 months ago, I've been promoted to swing manager (a position I've held in the past) and with it carried a boat load of BS that would make any sane person hide under their bed in a fetal position for at least 2 weeks. McDonalds has this habit of suckering people into working off the clock, particularly shift leaders who are told to do all their safe counting and pencil work before they punch on. I told my manager I'm not that stupid and I would get paid for whatever preshift work I did or she can find some other sucker to do it. We had a big long conversation about how it's illegal to expect an hourly employee to even put up with such nonsense and how if she dared even start with me, I'd call the attorney general and demand all wages due and how they would fine the company 25,000 plus attach a lean on personal assets until it's paid - So after the fact that I explained to her why she should watch her ass, the stupid woman goes and makes a crew person finish tasks assigned to her for a whole hour off the clock as part of some kind of twisted reprimand (why the frell didn't she just write her up if she had a problem?). Who does this poor kid talk to about it? Me, of course. I told the child she should have laughed in her face, walked out the door, and said, "C'ya tomorrow!" and to do it next time if it happens again.
My problem - I'm worried that if she came to me about that, would I be liable in any way because I'm the girl's superior? Should I confront McBitch about it? I'm certainly willing because I'm not afraid of being fired or anything like that (C'mon, it's a McJob), it's just that I'm wondering if because she spoke to me reluctantly, expressing fears of harassment and being fired, I should keep quiet unless it happens again.
