Current test page. Do the images still look spaced for everyone?

Another concern I have is that people with smaller resolutions will see the buttons shifted down to the next line since the buttons are no longer in a table.

It sounds right.
I think everything is all right.
Well... EVEN IF I CONTINUE TO BELIEVE THE IMAGE OF T'POL IS TOO MUCH STERN! :D
Well yes. I continue to write. And on Fanfiction.Net, for those who want, it is possible to cast a glance at my latest efforts. We arrived to
The Ears of the Elves, chapter Forty-four

And here is the beginning of the whole story.

But, I must say, you could also find something else on Fanfiction.net written by me. If you want.

Hey, CX, it looks fine.
Working on a major fan fic project. Two-thirds done. Hope to put it up in the not TOO distant future.

She still looks like she's groping him. Can't you amputate her arm or something?

I've already been asked, so I'll go ahead and tell everyone here.

I'll accept any submissions you send me, but nothing will actually go up until Valentine's Day when the website officially opens. As the planned email addresses I have on the submissions page aren't set up yet, if you want to send me something, send it to otto_von_sitter[at]yahoo.com, tagged with "Story" or "Submission" in the subject line. Tell me what section it's for, and all the other things as discussed on the current Submissions page.

Something else I can use is the order stories should appear on the index page under your name, and if you have a large-multi-part story or a serial, I need to know about it, what goes in it, and I need a short summary of everything as a whole to put on the sub-index page, which will have the same kind of heading as the stories themselves above the links to the different parts.

Another question. I'm trying to decided between using a table for the link buttons or simply centering them. With a table, all the images will stay fixed exactly where they are, so while the table will center itself in your browser's window no matter what width you have it, they will never shift down to the next line. Without a table, the images will not only center themselves on your screen, but if your window is too narrow for all of them to appear in the same row, they will shift down to the next line the same as the text in the story underneath it would. You can see this by adjusting the width on your browser window while it's displaying the current test page.

For a side-by-side comparison:
Test page - buttons centered, no table.
ENT index - buttons in table.

Which do you think would be better?

I like no table. I often bring up home pages in small windows and I'd hate scrolling over to open the pages with buttons that don't show.

Using tables for layout is a hack. I'd go with the centered - that way you don't have to weed through all the table cells to find the right place to stick the story every time you need to post one. Also, search engines know it's a hack and therefore frown on it unless it's legitimate tabular data.

I vote for the centered layout.
