Enough fans of doctor Who to justify a thread

Postby panyasan » Mon May 31, 2010 4:30 am

I have just watched the first episode "The eleventh hour" of doctor Who with the new doctor and I really like him. Didn't expect that being such a Bennet fan. So what do you think?

I love Matt Smith. I was one of those people who, when I saw his picture, immediately started decrying his casting because he was too young and too ... weird-looking. But you know what? This crow I'm eating? It's mighty tasty with BBQ sauce.

Under the previous showrunner, I sort of lost interest in Ten (Tennant) because of just how utterly insane the plots were (I loathed what he did with the Master), so Smith's Eleven is a breath of fresh air to me. I'm caught completely up to the most recent episode and I simply love what Stephen Moffat is doing with the show.

Yeah - I watched only one episode and I already agree what you said about the fresh air. I liked Amy a lot, lot of chemistry and I think she make a great companion.
SPOILER!!!:
In the first episode prisoner number one makes a reference where the crack in the wall came from and at the end hubs pointed out another clue.
I wondered if any one else saw it.

No idea. I have to acquire through alternate methods. I think it airs on BBC America, but not sure when.

I checked the Doctor Who page at BBC America and it's Saturdays at 9/8 Central.

Personally, despite a couple of turns I didn't like along the way, I just loved Tennant's Doctor. I've only seen the first of the new eps, and it was better than I thought, but Ten will always be 'my' Doctor.

I loved Eccleston and Tennant, but Matt Smith made a pretty good impression on me.

Just saw "Hungry Earth". BBC America's airings are 2 weeks behing the UK ones.

What does everyone think of the companion, Amy?

She's pretty darned hot. And Scottish. Scottish Hot. And "ginger.'

To be honest, I like her a lot more than most of the nuWho Companions. Rose was fine at first, but drove me insane with Ten. Martha did the same ... although I actually really liked Donna.

I agree - Donna is by far my favorite companion. Captain Jack is great, too.
