yah - me too. moving, bored with online... same crap. I'm dealing with trying to rent out my 3 apartments. It was actually only 2 a couple hours ago but my daughter pointed out the window and said, "look, ma - Jason's moving out." and I was like, "GOOD - now I don't have to evict the jerk!" (not paying rent)

also - I wasn't sure if this was "good news" or if it's a whine - I think it's a whine: I walked in and got a McJob. Hired on the spot 'cause I've got experience as a breakfast manager. I s'pose it could be worse. The hours are perfect for going to college this winter session and it's not as if I need training or anything.

Just reading yet ANOTHER article that quotes someone from NASA as saying that China is going to beat us back to the moon. :(

One of the most basic principles of military strategy, so basic that even I know it, is "take the high ground and hold it".

The moon is the ultimate high ground. Whoever holds dominion over the moon, owns military domination over the Earth. Plain and simple. And we are handing it to China on a silver platter.

Why? Because we are busy with other things.

So was Rome. They were busy with other things too.

Whine: like I said every frelling time I try to sleep people HAVE TO start talking. :?  Like last night I barely got any sleep because of that frelling schizopsycho Zombie who just had to get up at like 2 something am to go smoke. But of course the Zombie can't just do it like QUIETLY without disturbing other people. Not that she seems like she even tries to not disturb others.  So like she frelling turns the light on and makes a lot of noise until she finally goes outside. Of course she leaves the frelling light on and guess who has to get up and turn it off.      Like what the frell.   So like obviously today I was tired especially after work so I tried to take a little nap after I got off work. And like when I was still working Zombie was like in the room SLEEPING all day. And there's this other lady she's nice but she really likes to talk a lot (like seriously even when whomever she's talking to is obviously busy, it took me like an hour to watch the first 4 minutes of Numb3rs because she kept talking to me and I had to stop all the time!! :? :? :? :? I've never been more grateful for the rule that I have to go outside after 10pm :? :? ), and she was just in her bed not sleeping but just being quiet and stuff. And like as soon as I get off work and go to bed frelling Zombie gets up. And like she and the other lady start talking of course disregarding the sleep deprived girl trying to get some sleep, well and Zombie has this really horrible obnoxious voice like a frelling chainsaw because she's such a heavy smoker obviously I couldn't sleep. And like the other lady got some new top at Target for like $4. Jeez how long can people talk about one frelling garment. And then they got talking about Zombie's homeless boyfriend and how he doesn't wanna work etc etc, and all of Zombie's other homeless friends :? :? :? :? :? well and like after an hour that they've been talking and talking they finally realize I'm trying to sleep so they go outside. Well like not that they're really supposed to go outside because it was daytime it's my own problem that I'm trying to take a nap during the daytime, it just like totally pisses me off that everything's so frelling quiet like for hours and hours just until the exact moment I try to go to sleep.   Why does the universe hate me so much      and like then they go outside do you think I got a second of peace and quiet?? Like a second after they leave and close the door (I kid you not it was A SECOND) some stupid frelling loud music starts playing outside drums and stuff because WE'RE HAVING ANOTHER STUPID FESTIVAL OUTSIDE!!!!!

Um.... you know that daytime naps mess with your nighttime sleep schedule, don't you? If you get accustomed to a siesta then you can't function during that hour on another day when you have to, and you have trouble falling asleep at night. Just ask the entire country of Spain. Everything in the whole country literally shuts down from 12 to 2 pm and then everybody eats dinner at 10 pm. It works for them, but things don't work that way in the US. :?

Yeah well I only tried to take a nap during the day because I'm like totally sleep deprived because I already have trouble falling asleep at night because of all the frelling zoomates and the noise from the bars outside (I'm a light sleeper :? :? :? ) and because my job is exhausting and I'm wiped. :? :? :? :? :? :?

They don't work on siesta time because it's the hottest time of the day. They don't actually sleep they just rest at that time and it's not only limited to Spain.

I have a sports disaster to report. My son's high school soccer team was doing so well. More wins than losses in really close games. A team with really talented individuals who are learning to play together. Everything was falling in place. Every year we go to the city championship and win or loose to our arch rivals in a really close game. I mean we COUNT on it. I was just today planning how to get my oldest son home from college for the championship game. Now today . . .

They declared that we were playing with 4 ineliglble players--they are from Africa and are supposedly 19! They sure don't look 19. ARRGGHH. Including one of our stars who we were also going to recruit for our club team. He said he was 17. So we went from being number one in our conference to last place in one day. Our record is now 16 losses and 1 win because we had to forfeit ALL the past games.

And no one really knows how old they are. It's just a wild guess. All their birthdays are January 1 according to my son. ARRRGGHHH!!!

We may not even make the playoffs. :(

I got a 55 (+6 EC) = 61% on my first data structures. Got an "academic alert" email that also went to my instructor and presumably my advisor. Whoopy friggin do my week just got fan-FUCKIN-tastic.

It's so funny everybody's like "How is "comp sci" hard for you, you're really good with computers..." yeah, that's because 'comp sci' has NOTHING to do with "computers".

If I ever invent time travel, I'm going back and running Charles Babbage and Whatever Bool through the eye with a rusty ice pick. And dropping a piano on whoever invented C++.
