Honeybee, Yeah for the good results, and Boo for the discomfort. Take care and I hope you feel 100 percent soon.

Honeybee, I'm glad it was taken care of (especially before your semester gets started). I'm sure you'll feel like new by Sunday.

Aquarius, as nasty as the commute is, it's awfully nice have a Grandma who will notice what's up and bring her keys right over to you. Yay, Grandma.

And Linda, I'm very happy to say we finally got rained on last night. Not as much as I like (it was a passing thunderstorm instead of a good soak), but I'll take it. I envy you your pears! After reading about what it takes to grow healthy fruit trees in the Northeast, I pretty much decided it was pointless to try. (Plus I'd just get even more deer coming by for a piece of the action.)

I just made some bruschetta for Bether for lunch. While I was oh-so-helpfully explaining how to make it, with vague pretensions of being the next Food Network Star, I broiled the first set of bread to absolute cinders.  Thank God there was still a half a loaf left...

Get well soon, Honeybee. Car trouble.. commuting... they can be a real pain. Luckily our grandma gave you her car keys, Aquarius. Are you're (still) trying to find a new job more close at home?

Thanks all! I still feel l like crap. But you're right, Alelou, I wanted this over and done before the semester. If I waited until winter break, there was a good chance the doctor would not have been able to do the laproscopy.

May you have a speedy recovery, honeybee!

My tire is going to have a speedier recovery than originally thought. My aunt and her husband came home early from vacation, so her husband is going to take the tire off for me while I'm at work tomorrow and take it to get it patched...Grandma is loaning me her car again.

I owe some family members dinner!!!

My doctor thought I might have whooping cough, so yesterday I got tested, good news no whooping cough. Bad news I've been coughing three weeks straight and I'm still sick. Not fun my house is a mess.

Wow, quite a bit going on!

Alelou, glad to hear you finally got some rainfall. It's such a pain when things dry up.

Aquarius, I understand fully your car troubles  . Glad that you had your grandmother (& her hubs) to help.

Honeybee   You poor thing. Surgery can really leave the body in a weakened state but at least it sounds like it's far better than what it could have been. I'm sure the doc suggested lots of rest, reading and... writing ;)

But you get PAID! The federal government (or government of VA who knows at 1AM) won't let me earn more than $67 a month before cutting my SSI and medicade benifits. So I envy people who can do what they can do. Because the federal government let me work enough to earn just a little, even if its not enough to pay all the bills. I mean its not like I asked to not be able to hold a part-time/full-time job. They don't give me enough to live, but I can't earn anything extra. So my parents have to help me. NOT FAIR!

I'm so going to have to borrow the awesome emoticon: Image, aadarshinah! Thanks.

Aquarius, good luck today. I know commutes suck. I choose one.

I am feeling a good deal better today. Coughing is rough, but little by little I'm getting better.

honeybee wrote:I had a benign tumor removed from my abdomen yesterday. Thankfully, it was done laproscopically and no muscle was cut and the doctor was able to use plastic surgeon's glue instead of stitches. There was a chance it couldn't be done that way - and I would still be in the hospital. But my doctor came through for me.

That said, abdominal surgery sucks. I feel tired and beat up. Plus they clamped me down at my shoulder, and so my shoulder hurts nearly as much as my tummy. :(

But the doc says I should be 85% back by Sunday! Love that modern medicine.

Yikes! No wonder you feel beat. Here's hoping you have a speedy recovery!
