Just shows you're human, Alelou! As with most folks, you are terrible at some things, awesome at a few things, and mostly ok and don't suck at everything else!

Well I am the biggest brown thumb in existence, I kill any plant I touch, or don't touch. The only thing I am good for is weeding. And to add insult to injury my grandmothers are plant geniuses.

Less than a year now! I can't wait to be done with grad school, have my own place, switch to a better banking institution, and I'm thinking of the Boston area which would be a little more cosmopolitan and also have more jobs. :D

Why do you need to go to the bank offices anyway just use internet banking. I only go to the bank to renew my plastics or if I need to sign something. I've been using my account through the internet at least 7 years it's very easy and saves a lot of time. I can access my account anywhere as long as I have a computer with the right software, the internet(almost if not a total coverage in my country) and a smart card reader. (my ID card is a smart card and I can use it to sign things with my digital signature)

I have internet banking, but I still want to be able to deposit checks and such.

Alelou, isn't it discouraging when bugs ruin your plants? We had some lovely lilies that were just destroyed by these stupid red beetles. I hope your other crops are faring better.

Well, I've been fencing lately, and I've found that I lost a lot of my old skill. :doubt:

Do you plan to keep up with it to regain that skill? That'd be pretty awesome! More power to you. Fencing is HARD, man!

I think American banking might be behind European banking in terms of smart cards and such. It certainly was when I was over there -- we didn't have ATM cards for a long time compared to the UK. And they attach fees all over the place here if you go to the wrong place to get cash. I think your ATMs also have much better security than ours do.

And yes, it is discouraging what bugs can do. I've lost one clump of lily flowers to caterpillars, but the others are okay so far, knock wood. I also have a lovely clump of young white birches in the garden that pretty much get defoliated by Japanese beetles every summer, because I just can't reach them all. But the white trunks are so pretty, especially in winter when not much else is, that I just put up with it.

You never know with bugs. I'm afraid to say anything else is doing okay and curse myself. Besides, it's rained so much lately it feels like we live in Oregon, not upstate New York. It should be a banner year for slugs at this rate.

OK, I think I'm in the deep end of my energy supply here. My throat ache, I have a headache, I'm not sleeping and I'm not eating much either. Because I'm hysterical. Because in TEN days (oh, so, so few days :() I have the super-important test to be a Judge. The super-important and super-difficult test. THE test. The one I'm going to fail.

Again.

No, no, really, I know I'm going to fail it. And the worst part is that everybody is saying "Come on! You can do it!" And it makes me feel so very bad, because I'm going to fail again and I'm going to dissapoint everybody.

Again.

And then I'll have to study an entire year for the next test :faint:

I was quite well until yesterday. Better than other years (with insomnia, but still.) But since yesterday I'm just hysterical.

But, I must say, you could also find something else on Fanfiction.net written by me. If you want.

Thanks, guys.

Don't worry, you don't have to say anything. I just wanted to vent a little.

Okay, busybody Alelou slips into lecture mode...

Escriba, is self-hypnosis available in your part of the world? Because you're already negative-talking yourself into another failure and you're just too sharp for that. If tests give you a lot of anxiety, there are strategies to help. Honestly, self-hypnosis can do wonderful things. My mother got through many rounds of horrible dental surgery with it.

WarpGirl, if you're having a lot of miserable side-effects, let the doctor know. There are lots of different birth control pill formulations and another one might not affect you so badly. You want relief, not complications. Tell the doctor what's happening and maybe he can suggest a better fit.

I'm calling him tomorrow. Honestly, I can't afford another Cyber meltdown. It's just really irritating because I thought I was done with this five years ago. I should have known better.

You're probably thinking of the wrong kind of fencing. ;)
