I desire to share with all of you some images which my wife and I took recently in Ferrara.
It is a city in Emilia-Romagna, northern Italy, capital city of the Province of Ferrara.
It is situated 50 km north-northeast of Bologna, on the Po di Volano, a branch channel of the main stream of the Po River, located 5 km north. The town has broad streets and numerous palaces dating from the 14th century and 15th century, when it hosted the court of the house of Este.
For its beauty and cultural importance it has been qualified by UNESCO as World Heritage Site, and I think these images can be really explanatory.

Well I think it's simple to understand why it has this name.

And for those who think the Palio is only of Siena... this one is the Historical Parade of the Palio of Ferrara.
