You know, it's funny you mention that because that's exactly what he said. "If this is what a tree can do, I'd hate to see the damage a car might do." He looks like he's been in a car wreck, though. I almost passed out in the ER, but I fought it off. I decided I wouldn't be much help to him if I was out cold. Just a freaky kind of accident.

Today I am feeling very bitchy, whinny, and sorry for myself! Bad attitude day. I'd say bad hair day too...but every day is that. I think it is cumulative from the last couple of weeks. Had to replace a hot water heater, lost a pet, found out the compensation for my (and my husband's) state jobs is to be cut by about 2%, and as usual, my adult child is borrowing money and never paying it back despite profuse promises.

And if anyone else says "have a nice day" I think I will murder them.

I am not very Vulcan today, am I?

I need to post my parents' anniversary video so I started what I thought would be a second account at YouTube (because I don't really want my parents' friends to see what a hopeless Trekkie nut I am).

But I think in the process I wiped out EnterpriseAlelou utterly and completely. Including Escriba's cool video for CTFL.

Oh well. I suspected that was a risk even though somebody somewhere had said you can log out and do it no problem, but it's still annoying. Maybe I had to change all my personal information? And google video won't take uploads anymore -- they send you to YouTube. Grrr.

I've updated the title and the screen shot of my parents' video and my HUSBAND can see it that way on his computer, but my computer insists it's the dorky one it started with no matter how many times I refresh. (Why do they pick some random clip from the middle? Why not something from the beginning, when you presumably are making your main point? One third of this video is wedding pictures, but do they pick one of those????)

Oh well. Obviously I'm quite a newbie at this stuff, but at least I'll be feeling the pain of my parents' contemporaries. I'm trying to make it as easy as possible with an embedded video on a special web page just for the anniversary.

Okay now this is like totally pissing me off:

Like we have this memorial weekend festival outside as usual, loud music and overpriced stuff etc, and of course the "beer garden" which is like right outside my window. Well like aside from the obvious fact that I hate this festival thing because it's boring and annoying and loud and crowded. The "beer garden" is like the area where they have the tables and chairs for people to drink alcohol and watch live (BAD) rock bands on a stage. And all the proceeds from the beer garden go to charity. So like every few minutes the event organizers get on the stage and announce like how all the proceeds go to charity and go like "so drink up! Don't forget people are counting on you to get really really drunk! You're drinking for a good cause!!" etc etc etc all kinda stuff encouraging people to drink more and more. Like dude why don't you add $5 for charity for every person who gets killed by a drunk driver or something!! Why don't you encourage people to smoke and donate the money you make from selling people cigarettes to charity!! Why don't you sell them drugs and donate that money to charity!! Why don't you donate $5 to charity for every random stranger they frell!! WTF!! Exactly what "charity" do they donate to, AA??

Like why can't they donate some of the profits from the overpriced food court, or kids' rides, or (rigged) booths or whatever! Why do they have to encourage destructive and irresponsible behavior!! I think it's so disgusting and it's pissing me off and I just wanna throw stuff at them but I don't wanna open the window because it's already too frelling loud in here and opening the window would make it worse!!

I hate society.

Yesterday I got sideswiped by a bus.

Got the ticket, too.

I went to the beauty supply. It's on a very congested road, and I had to make a left out of there. The oncoming traffic was clear, but not the other direction, so I went for the left hand turn lane. Waited there, with my right signal on so I could reenter traffic. The lane closest to me cleared. I started to move, and that's when the bus decided to pass the car in front of it, so we both went for the same lane at the same time. Cop says the bus had the right of way. That may be true, but if you wait for "legal", you never get out of there. So instead of being polite and letting me in, the bus hit me.

Car is mostly okay. A little dent, some rubber scraped onto it. I heard it more than felt it.

Everyone's saying to fight the ticket, but I'm not so sure what that'll get me.

Sometimes just showing up to fight a ticket gets you off, because the cop doesn't show up...

But is it worth the time?

Eeeek! I thought I had a bad day. I can't see a judge enforcing this ticket, I know nobody would where I live but then again I live in the boondocks and that's not a joke. My question is did you see the bus coming?

I saw the bus--in the other lane. And no turn signal to indicate he was changing lanes. So if he used one, he was already in the process of his move when he put it on.
