Whine:  they're gonna paint the kitchen and now no one's gonna be able to use the kitcen for like 10 days. And I'm just not the kinda person who can go like oh well I can't cook so I'll just eat out. But no one really cares obviously.

And like I wanted to call my friend with the food truck to ask if there's like food that doesn't need cooking, maybe I'll be able to like microwave stuff if they move the microvave to the TV room or something while they're painting I dunno, but I won't be able to cook so I wanted to ask if there's food in the storage that doesn't need cooking. But frelling Vader was on the phone, she always hogs the phone for like hours literally talking to her boyfriend and her sisters and her cousins and her parents and her friends etc etc etc, even though calls are supposed to be limited to like 15 minutes but no one tells her anything and she can always do whatever the hell she wants, especially while she's supposed to be "on duty" what a joke, all she ever does is surf the internet and talk on the phone. She doesn't even do her "duty" stuff like laundry etc WTF. And now I can't call my friend and later it's gonna be too late because he's going to church, and tomorrow I'm gonna starve

So the salon's "Biggest Loser" thing started today.

Okay, I knew I'd gotten fat--beyond fat, even--but I stepped on the scale today and learned that I'm so far BEYOND fat, it'll take the light FROM fat a million years to reach me.

Goodbye days of comfortable denial. Hello grapefruit. And--just for a little while--goodbye, beer. :duh:

T'PopTarts -- Try peanutbutter and bread or crackers. You can even mix in a little dried milk to get a better quality protein. (And dried milk mixed with peanutbutter makes a decent snack especially if you stud it with chocolate.) And canned fish. Believe it or not, you really don't HAVE to refrigerate mayo... If you're REALLY desperate you can eat Spaghetti-os cold. (That IS desperate.) :( :( I hope you'll have a microwave, though.

It is not even fit for human beings to step outside most of the time now. Currently, according to weather.com, it's 5 degrees but feels like -8. (For you Celsius users, that's -15 feeling like -22.)

So I got up at 5am and started my second job today.

Go me.

It's not that bad...at least that's what I keep telling myself.

And it was so freaking dark going there this morning.

Minus 1 and I was feeling pretty sorry for myself. Schools are closed for cold. I had to jump up from work and drive my son home from a friend's house because I absolutely did not want him to wait for a bus. :(

Got sick yesterday. I got a fever and it's still running although it has come down a little. The worst part is I don't get sick haven't had a flu like 8 years at least. I usually may get a runny nose and cough but never a fever. I hate the pain that's associated with rising fever :( .

I hope you feel better soon. :(
Well yes. I continue to write. And on Fanfiction.Net, for those who want, it is possible to cast a glance at my latest efforts. We arrived to
The Ears of the Elves, chapter Forty-four

And here is the beginning of the whole story.

But, I must say, you could also find something else on Fanfiction.net written by me. If you want.

One of our customers from Stephentown had a -24 reading on their thermometer yesterday AM. It was -12 at my house when I left for work at 2:45 AM. Brutal, just brutal. Today was balmy. It must have hit 20 degrees. Of course, we got more snow. I'm longing for the sweet smell of soggy, thawing ground. A couple of months to go...

Off I go to bed at the ridiculously early time of 10pm, in order to get up at the even MORE ridiculously time of 5am, to go work at my second job tomorrow...

I don't know why I feel so bummed again all of a sudden. I was bummed before my first day on Friday, and it all turned out okay, except I got mega-tired later that evening...and it's not like I have a choice, I need the money, you know?

Of course you feel bummed. Two jobs are very tiring ... especially when the new hours require a change in your normal sleep cycle. In fact, you really need to be very careful while you are adjusting to the change.

^ Yeah, you're right. But then once I get there and get going, I'm pretty zen about it all, you know? Sure, it's as unskilled as unskilled labor can get, but that's what I LIKE about it compared to being at the salon--no decisions to make, very little small-talk, I don't have to control everything. Just show up, punch in, do what I'm told, punch out, go home. Plus it's different from anything I've done before, so I'm trying to look at this as something that's going to make me a more well-rounded person, if that makes sense. Plus I'll start having more money, which is always good.

Add to that the fact we started our group diet at the salon, I want to try to look at this as a point in my life where I'm going through a lot of positive changes.

Plus, when so many people don't even have *A* job, I've got two, so I'm very lucky.

But it's very hard to control the spoiled brat inside who kicks and screams and wants to believe she's too good to be in the situation she's in. :(
