And here I just want to go for the food... & the wine ;)

wine? Is there... good wine there?

You bet! Sonoma County is just North of San Francisco, and famous for its wine ;)

Anywho... I took JT's advice and bought tix to the Grand Canyon! And after that, we're going to drive to Phoenix, and stay at the Arizona Grand Resort... looks pretty swanky

Thanks for the advice everyone :)

So all our planes are booked.

You know you're overspending when you start pulling out multiple cards so that MasterCard won't put the kibosh on your next purchase.

Like right after I bought my FEDCON tix, back in Oct or whenever, the same day I took my trusty MasterCard to Future Shop and bought a new computer.

Well, apparantly my "normal spending pattern" doesn't include Star Trek tickets in Dallas and new computers and so the card quit working and the bimbo cashier had to phone MC and get them to quit "protecting" me.

Wow, I feel so safe.

Wow, I've never had that happen. In fact someone charged $798 on SKIING equipment (I live in Missouri!) on my card a few years ago and it didn't get caught, had to go through this whole process of disputing it when the bill came :?

Y'know, that reminds me of a commerical I saw here in Charlotte (home of NASCAR)...you see Kasey Kahne (a popular driver) leading by laps around a racetrack, and his pit crew chief calls him over the radio and tells him his credit card company's on the line and Kahne's like "WTF??". The credit card company asks him if he's currently in an outdoor store trying to purchase a boat or something and Kahne deadpans, "Nope. I'm working," about three seconds before he crosses the finish line under the checkered flag.

It's technically a good idea for them to monitor what you're buying, so that yes, if suddenly $20,000 worth of jewels goes thru in Thailand, that maybe, y'know someone somewhere would be alerted. But it's frustrating when you are actually TRTYING to buy something, and the girl's all, "Well, there were these "fedcon" tickets also, and now this!" Yes, very shocking.

I'm debating:

Iron on? Or get-the-photostore-to-do-it?

I've done iron ons that looked fabulous for about 8 hours and then after you washed them they were wrecked. Hmmmm. I suppose if I had the shirt autographed I wouldn't want to wash it? So iron on wouldn't matter?

decisions, decisions.

^ Don't they use like a special marker when they sign like t-shirts and stuff so it's like safe to wash? Or if they don't have that kinda markers there I guess you could bring one and ask them to use it for the shirt instead :? oh well I don't see the point in getting a shirt you wouldn't be able to use afterwards like ever so I vote for the photo store
