Whine;

We did a a show for a senior year prom at a local hotel on friday. When we were shipping out again afterwards, me and a friend/co-worker started moving out the Digital Lighting Computers. They are in a rack case on castors and weigh about 30kgs. We were going down the stairs outside this hotel, and I lost my grip on the carrying handle. All 30kgs and £5000-£6000 worth of computer landed on my left foot. Apparently there was quite an audible crunch, followed by a sting of very bad language at high volume, eminating from me. We finished packing up and I went to A&E. The computer had landed on the end of my foot and broke 3 of my toes, dislocating another. Ouch! It's also swelled like a SOB and I now can't walk very well. Damn. And it's the summer too! :cry: :evil:

Milk it for all the sympathy its worth.

Yuck are you in a cast? Maybe a removable foot cast?

Nup. There's not a lot you can do when it comes to broken toes. (Apart from waiting to heal, that is.)

Owie, d_r! :(

Have you got a pair of stiff-soled Birkenstock type sandals? A shoe with a sole that doesn't bend and straps that adjust to accomodate swelling, plus crutches, pain meds (ibuprofen helps if you don't want to be drugged out), elevation and ice are about all you can do for broken toes. Good luck. :hug:

Ouch and that's the reason why I wear steel toed boots to avoid such accidents. I had a little mishap at work today I slipped on a wooden support beam and my foot went trough a sheetrock ceiling and left a nice big hole. Fortunately I'm a big guy and the wooden support beams and the metal ceiling joists (where the sheetrock attaches) were spaced closely enough that I wouldn't have fallen trough.

Good luck, Dark_Rain, from me too! :)
Well yes. I continue to write. And on Fanfiction.Net, for those who want, it is possible to cast a glance at my latest efforts. We arrived to
The Ears of the Elves, chapter Forty-four

And here is the beginning of the whole story.

But, I must say, you could also find something else on Fanfiction.net written by me. If you want.
