Yes. Saab was originally an aircraft manufacturer. Saab stands for Svenska Aeroplanaktiebolaget (Swedish Aeoroplane Limited Company). Only later on did they start making cars (co-incidentally, one of my father's cousins used to head that division). Nowadays Saab Automobile is owned by General Motors. But we still make military aircrafts. The current one is JAS 39 Gripen, which also made an appearance at the airshow yesterday. It flew too damn fast for me to take a good picture of it...
