These are from last night's salon Christmas party. (Yeah, I know it hasn't been Christmas for a while, but we deliberately scheduled our party for after Christmas so it wouldn't be amidst all the holiday pressures of work and family.) The pics are disappointingly dark, but I think in the process of the camera being passed around someone flipped it off the "auto" setting, and as the beer flowed I sorta forgot to check for that kind of stuff.
Hope these aren't too big; I have them set on "medium" on PhotoBucket.
me, Pam, and Joyce
me and Maria
This party was the last Very Bad Thing my coworkers and I were doing before we start the salon's version of The Biggest Loser this week...so hopefully the next pictures you see of me, there will be less of me!

Funny, every time I imagine what people look like based on my impression of them in cyberspace, I'm wrong!

Me too!
sometimes a photo of someone you've been typing to for years is a real SHOCKER.
Not even in a good way or a bad way necessarily....just a sideways way.
Love yer pix! You guys all look great!

^ LMAO!! The only reason MY hair looks that good there is because Maria blew it out for me earlier in the day!! I have curly hair, and I never straighten it myself because, well, that's just an hour and a half of my life I'll never get back!!
Maria's hair is badass. You can't see under her cap, but I gave her a blond faux-hawk kind of deal.

Me too. Anyway... pleased to meet you, Aquarius!
Well yes. I continue to write. And on Fanfiction.Net, for those who want, it is possible to cast a glance at my latest efforts. We arrived to
The Ears of the Elves, chapter Forty-four
And here is the beginning of the whole story.
But, I must say, you could also find something else on Fanfiction.net written by me. If you want.

Yes, I hear you on that. My hair is hard to manage and I have no talent there anyway, so I go with the "my hair is clean and combed with a straight part - good enough" method.enterprikayak wrote:(Everyone else: don't you hate seeing stylists together in a group? Chalk me up as another person who finds people look different than I pictured. Not better or worse, just different.
Re: Member pics
Hmm I'm starting to wonder what people think I look like before they see my picture.

yeah, but we can't flood cause our house is like this.
The mountain is our backyard and the sheer dropoff is our front yard.
The road is down at the front yard level.
Of course excessive moisture could still cause a landslide, in which case you're pretty boned. There's your CX happy thought of the day.

Hmmm....you're right. Except it's all made of solid stone. No dirt.
I'm waiting more for the big Pacific Rim Quake to come and flatten me and T'Poptarts and evcake under a big hill of rock rubble from me stone mountain.

Well no mountains in my area, but then again my town would probably get like totally submerged if there was a really big earthquake

Earthquakes = why I have removed the west coast from the list of places I would live.
Re: Member pics
Asso, I loved your pictures of Bergamo. Where I live in Texas, the land is mostly flat; so I get excited when I see the beautiful hill in your area. Thank you for posting.
