Yup, winter can be rough on us elders! But we are tough, and listen to our doctors and our caring spouses and follow their intelligent and logical advice, right? Well, most of the time we follow their advice.

Except when we go snow skiing after 20 years off the slopes and DON'T take lessons first.

Umm... my knee surgery is Tuesday the 29th. Any prayers (good wishes, good karma, what have you... )sent my way would be highly appreciated.

Happy is right! My surgeon wanted to give me Demerol for post op pain. I settled for Vicodin since I want to be conscious at least some of the time, and I'll still be high as a kite, I'm sure. I rarely take pain meds, so when I do it's like a non-drinker at a keg party. One dose and I'm out. I probably won't remember much of next week, but I'll be happy, never fear.
