Since this is a general forum, I figured I'd share some of my 2D illustration work with you all. Some of you may have seen this stuff on Sci Fi Meshes, where I also post from time to time.

These are some "alternate universe" flags I've designed for Earth nations, and I've also re-created some flags from nations from the Ace Combat series of video games. Enjoy.

Scandinavian Union

Is there such a thing? What countries belong to it? Does it have a central government or a UN like structure?

As far as I know, there is no real-world structure like it. My version operates like a U.N. for all the Nordic nations.

My first thought was Union of Socialist Scandinavian Republics

You know, there was a real Nordic union (called the Union of Kalmar), formed in 1430, which had a flag like this.

That's a colorful flag. In my AU, the citizens of the Scandinavian Union refer to the flag as the "Scandinavian Templar" or simply "The Templar", sort of how we Americans call our flag "Old Glory" or "The Stars and Stripes". I chose the colors I did for a reason, but I was debating for a very long time as to if I should use orange at all. I finally decided against it.

^ Uh-oh! Using the word "Scandinavian Templar" would be a big no-no now after the massacre perpetrated by the self-styled "knight templar" Anders Behring Breivik, currently on trail in Oslo.

Good thing this is an alternate universe, then.
