Personality Test Poll

The poll only allows 10 choices, so I could not enter the 16 personality types on it. Instead, I put the four Idealist types first as I think most of us on TriS fall into this category. But I saw a few of us are Rational types, so I listed those four too. The other two categories are Artisans and Guardians. Since I thought few of us, if any, fell into those types, I lumped them together.
I got these types from the book "Please Understand Me II by David Keirsey. Let's see how we break out into these types!

INFJ -- The Counselor. And it's pretty much dead on.

Yeah, INFJ is dead on for me too. It is surprising how a test with only 70 questions, two choices per question, can peg us so accurately.

Still an INFJ, which is true, however every question that asked "Your emotions influence your decisions" I answered NO too. Because it's important to me to make decisions rationally. If I just let my heart rule my head I'd have screwed up my life many times over. So I'm not sure the test is completely accurate. It is close enough I guess. Also some of the questions I would answer differently in specific situations.

If you look up Myers-Brigs personaility tests, you can get longer ones. Unless you're on the fence, though, between two types, it's really not nessicary. Every test, no matter how long or short it has been, has given me The Mastermind...

See I think I'm on the fence... I hate, hate being open with people at large. I'm honest, (brutally so) but my heart and soul aren't just for anyone. And I never, make a choice in the heat of the moment good or bad. I say things in the heat of the moment, but I never DO things like that. Those traits don't really make sense for an INFJ.

Damned eye, hit the wrong one. I am ISTJ, guardian but I hit the one above that. So there is one Guardian.
Crap, Eye does that constantly. Sorry

According to the test, I am an INFP.
Mmmm... I didn't agree with everything, but I liked this: "They have a gift for interpreting stories, as well as for creating them, and thus often write in lyric, poetic fashion."

I did this quickly and ended up an INTJ. I'm a Mastermind! Muahahaha!

But even if I am a bit sceptical of these types of tests, it does sound about right for me.

# moderately expressed intuitive personality
# distinctively expressed thinking personality
# very expressed judging personality

I looked up the definitions
here. I guess we can apply it to groups of people. For example, the ideal Vulcan would be an ISTJ.

But Vulcans are also empathic... So the intuitive part is naturally there all the time, they can't switch it off. So wouldn't they have to have an N somewhere.
Here's what I don't get, I took the test and answered all the THINKING questions yes. Every shrink I've been too says I overthink everything, my whole family actively tries to get me to stop overthinking, yet I have no T in my personality lable. How does that make sense?????????????????

It all depends on how you think. If you think analytically, it tends to be a T. If your thoughts are guided by your emotions, you're a N.
