Hi everyone!

Sorry for the leave of absence.....I had no idea having a baby could be so time consuming! Well I did I just didn't realize the extent of it. lol


We are doing well! Little Maggie is 10 months old now and is cute as can be.
We are on track with most milestones....there are a few that have me a little concerned (namely not crawling, pulling up or pushing into a sitting position-she sits fine if you put her that way she just can't push up into one.)so I am currently looking to see a developmental specialist just to make sure there isn't anything wrong. But other than that we are doing ok.

I have been very busy with work....still working outside of DC doing my spacey stuff! lol

She seems to think that she might just be laid back and that given time and practice she will catch up. While I do agree with that for the most part I would feel better if I had a second opinion.

Tsara, I wouldn't worry TOO much. I didn't start to walk unti i was three and talking at the same age. When I was 20 I could outwalk anyone and talk the ear of a stone monkey.

Still best to check.

My mom says I was late in the whole standing up by myself thing. She accidentally figured out that it was the shoes. It was Christmas or something and she got me all dressed up and put on my first pair of "hard" shoes. Later at my Grandma's, my Aunt was listening to the Beatles' Yellow Submarine and I stood right up and started bouncing like I was dancing. Every situation is a little different, every kid different, but sometimes it's the little things you might not think of that tip the balance just right and move things along.

She's probably just laidback and contented to observe the world around her, but it never hurts to check.

What a cute baby! Lovely pic's, thank you for sharing. My daughter was late with walking and talking as well, the youngest was much faster. Maybe because she was so fast with crawling, she didn't bother to start walking. So it's okay to check, but I wouldn't worry. Every child has his own pace.
