I was thinking freestyler would be more like someone who does tricks with the ball. You know, for kids.

Weeble, we STILL haven't had a killing frost here, though it was cold enough last night that I finally turned the heat on. Scattered snow is in the forecast tonight, though. I'm still eating the odd raspberry out of the garden and need to quarantine what's left of my tomatoes since they've come down with late blight -- just when they should instead of too early, so I can't really complain.

I have one small tomato still clinging to its parent. The parent is dried up - dead. Heat's on inside, the parrot is molting, the rabbits have their winter coats on in the kitchen, and the jars of pears sit in rows on the built-in bungalow buffet. Like a good mammal I am bulking up for winter; there are piles of books to read accumulating on the dining room table, LOL.

Woke up to 24 deg yesterday. Broccoli, carrots and kale are hanging in but everything else is toast. Got the biggest steelhead of my career last Sat 14.5 lbs. Fall is here and life is good. I will post a pic as soon as I can get on photo bucket.

I'm sure it's exactly that sort of thing. But I had no idea anyone would be willing to pay to see that, let alone enough to make it viable as a profession. It just strikes me as a bizarre thing to do, and an even more bizarre thing to pay to watch.

Judging by the dates I guess he would have been born around the time TOS was running. I wonder whether his parents had any idea how well known that name was going to become. He should probably count himself lucky that he wasn't posted to the Big E. :)

Hi everyone. :)

Updating. I've been my father's caregiver at home for one month now. 24 hour supervision and care. Definitely mentally exhausting. I had to quit school and seriously limit my work hours. We have some aides who come in to help so I can work, shop, run errands etc. He was just hospitalized again this week, but he is back home now. It has been challenging, but we are managing. I do highly recommend the shingles vaccine, though, since a shingles infection that went in both his eye and brain (causing encephalitis) is how all of this started.

How is everyone here?

Bether,

Glad to hear from you. Bless you for what you doing. Its quite a challenge to take care of a parent, hell even to merely house one.

Definitely try to find any and help wherever you can find it.

Peace

Thank you, weeble. I've definitely been reaching out for support as much as I need to.

Is that you with the huge fish? Wow!

Yup, fish was landed, pic taken, aka "grip and grin" and safely released!

The wife and I moved her mother in 7 years ago come January. The link attached has been very helpful to us as we try to manage our situation. Don't know if it will apply or be helpful, but ya never know.

You released the fish??? Well, maybe it shouldn't be shock exactly from the smiley but aren't you suppose to be able to keep it and eat it? Is it not the practice anymore?

Thanks so much for the link and information. 7 years, that is wonderful.

I think it's great you let the fish go. :)
