Yeah Bether! Lots of company coming, and the baby!

JadziaKathryn, I used to make dounuts at 5:30am at my college cafeteria. I used to be very tempted by all those reject donuts. I hated to waste them. BEWARE of the deformed donuts--they can be very fattening. :)

Thanks for the warning! Over the past year year and a half or so I've lost several pounds by eating less junk food and more healthy snacks, and I'd like to keep them off. I guess it's better that deformed donuts go to waste than to my waist.

^ But all the poor starving people out there.       I don't know I'm broke and can't afford more than 1 meal a day myself and I hate seeing food go to waste. :(

Me gaining ten pounds from deformed donuts is hardly going to help hungry people. But personally, if I couldn't afford to eat, it'd be time to look for a new job.

"Mama" at 5 MONTHS!??? Sounds like you either have a genius on your hands or it was a lucky babble. Only time will tell. None of mine said Mama for months after they started talking. It was "Dada" this and "Baba" that. Very frustrating because "Dada" wasn't even around most of the time, and none of them took a bottle.

Yip, very quick, just like my first one. And she is a bright little girl, but no genius.. :D
Maybe because they have a language freak as their mother...
And they do not like the bottle either!!

You're not mistaken. They flew to China last month and brought little Isabella home a few weeks ago. I haven't met her yet, but they are all supposed to be here tomorrow. The baby is 10 months old and crawling. Time to babyproof the house again, I guess. :)

5 months? Isn't that when they start doing the "ma-ma-ma-ma-ma da-da-da-da " babbling? I think they see that they get a good response so they keep saying it. My kids always said dada first. Figures.

Heh my first word was neither "mama" nor "dada"... it was "light" :? :? :? :? at 7 months. Well I really never liked my parents very much :? :? :?

I've had about 3 Margaretta's tonight, and am now just a bit on the tipsy side.

I hardly ever drink...so I decided to let down my hair for a bit.

I guess that's my "happy news" for the night.

:D

I got lucky last night!

Not what you think.

I was permitted something even more special! :happyjump: :happyjump: :happyjump: :happyjump: :happyjump: :happyjump: :happyjump: :happyjump:

I...

(drumroll please)

I was allowed to have not one, but TWO scrambled egg and bacon biscuits! Homemade no less! In big old cat head biscuits made with real butter!

YEEEHAAAAHHH!!!

Do you know, can any of you imagine, how often I am allowed within sniffing range of fried pork? Usually it is a case of 'put down the pork chop and nobody gets hurt'. But last night my dear wife, my darling beloved, sensitive, exquisite, beautiful, fantastic, wondrous, angelic wife actually made biscuits, scrambled some eggs, fried up some bacon and LET ME HAVE SOME!

Oh joy! Oh rapture! Oh spinning around in my desk chair like a drunk dervish with freshly greased ball bearings!

Bliss.....

If only a person never had to brush their teeth....
