Asso, I am so glad you and your family are safe. But it is a tragedy that others have died.

Thanks, Linda.
News are very bad. Beyond 100 deads. Beyond 70.000 rooflesses.

Well yes. I continue to write. And on Fanfiction.Net, for those who want, it is possible to cast a glance at my latest efforts. We arrived to
The Ears of the Elves, chapter Forty-four
And here is the beginning of the whole story.

But, I must say, you could also find something else on Fanfiction.net written by me. If you want.

I saw that this morning and though, "I hope Asso is okay!" And I'm glad you are, but it's still very sad.

Yes, it is different when you know somebody. I clicked through the news pictures. It's very shocking. My thoughts are with you.

Re: The Upsetting News Thread
Believe me, my friends, I became dewy-eyed, reading your messages.
It's unparalleled what I found here, in this site, because I learned that, beyond the our common passion, it's possible that people are able to build a luminous bridge toward each other, even among different feelings, different cultures, different points of view.
As Trip and T'Pol.

Re: The Upsetting News Thread
The bad thing about not listening or reading any news yesterday was that I was totally unaware of the accident. The good thing about reading it today is that as soon as I came here to know if Asso was all right, I could confirm it quickly.
So happy to see you're safe and sound
Although it's a pity about the casualties and the homeless people

It's good to hear you're OK Asso.
The news seem to worsen as the hours passed, I hope they'll save most of the people trapped in the ruins. It's so sad to watch the images, so much destruction.

Re: The Upsetting News Thread
I rarely buy a newspaper but I did this morning on the way to work just to read more news about the earthquake. It was mostly about the dormatories and housing where college students lived. I do hope they find many people alive as they did through the rubble. We get only occassional weak tremors in the midwest of the U.S. so it is difficult for me to know just how devastating earthquakes are. Tornados, I have seen the damage they cause, but they only sweep a limited path of destruction. Of course in that path there can be total devastation. I will light a candle tonight for those who have lost loved ones and homes.

Asso I'm glad you're safe. But it's very sad to see all the news stories about the aftermath from the earthquake.

Houses, substances, the memory of what you are... many people are losing this, here.
Italians are used to cohabit with earthquakes, it's part of our life. But... to see so many people...
I'm lucky. The quake didn't touch me and my family. And I have your closeness.
