Okay how's this for random, I'm trying to figure out ways to save 225$ for a charm and chain from Tiffany's for my mom... Why you may ask, Well far too many reasons than would be appropriate to list but bottom line, she rarely has had a truly amazing special gift given to her by anyone. I try to make mine special but when you add up everything she has done for me over the last 26 1/2 years, I have not done nearly good enough in the daughter department. So I thought this might be meaningful.http://www.tiffany.com/Shopping/item.as ... -x+-pu+-f+

Too corny?

Depends on her tastes. I would prefer a simple pearl drop or even several unadorned silver strands in a knot over something shaped like a scooter, but I'm not her.

Oh she'd want the Scooter. Heck if Tiffany's made a John Deer Tractor charm I'd be getting that! Because that's my mom. She can't ride her scooter much anymore, the Lupis makes her too fuzzy. And she always wanted another baby blue one, so I thought this would work. One of My sisters thinks it's awesome! So now how to get the cash for it...

And just so you'd know what I would want... http://www.tiffany.com/Shopping/Item.as ... i+-ni+0-t+ 118,000$ I'm just a simple girl at heart...

I'm wondering if I'm starting to get Stockholm Syndrome. I've watched 4 of 7 seasons of Voyager by this point, and, to my surprise, find myself really liking season 4. As in, I've seen worse episodes from the other series than I have in some of VOY season 4. This by far doesn't outway the majority of the first 3 seasons and their horribleness, but... I'm starting to think I mightn't completely hate the series at this point. Am I just that relieved that I've gotten to the "good" VOY that I've lost all perspective, or what? I honestly don't know... but I felt like sharing.

I can't even tell the VOY seasons apart. I only have before and after 7of9 showed up to refer to. When was that, season 3? :dunno:

Aardashinah (sp) why can't I spell your name?

Whatever, did you delibertely mispell outweigh making it outway?

Voyager. Liked Kess, Liked Seven of NIne although hated the Catsuit. Fact that it was an ensemble series rather than a one Hero series was good. Tom, Torres, the Doctor, Tuvok, Harry even Janeway. Disliked Jakoty (sp) Neelix.

But at least they didn't carry that will they, won't they all of the way. They got married and had aa Baby. Now that is what should have happened to TnT.

sure there was some bum episodes but some very good ones too. Par for the course for Trek series except for Ent which had (to my mind) more bad that good Episodes.

Neither Kes or 7of9 were favorites of mine. But the shift did make things different. Personally, I think they sacrificed a lot of character development to toss stuff to the Borg Babe. Not Jeri Ryan's fault, and she can act and is lovely. But they only gave her concrete relationships with Doc and Janeway (I refuse to acknowledge the so called "relationship" with Chakotay in season 7)

Question, since I do not have HBO or showttime: Is the series "Men of a Certain Age" still on? How is it doing in the ratings?

Nah. In the made-up language I created it from, it comes from the verb aadarshinas, to confuse, obscure, or conceal, which itself comes from the noun adaarshinan, meaning enigma, and its related words aadarshe, or facade, and aadarshinayrd, or hidden. It's also one of the names for Mis Talmaidnar, one of the first gods.... but in PMs people sometimes call me AA. Feel free to do the same.

I admit the catsuit was over the top, but she was more interesting to me than Kes ever was. Kes made me want to go oedipal and claw out my eyes with whatever was handy. Nelix is kinda the same way....

But, then again, I've an infatuation with the Borg, even if they are a pale shadow of the TNG Borg, so that might be some of it. And, of course, the whole perpetual Vulcan/Android problem of mine...

Oh, And men of a certain age is still playing. I've seen the previews... it's on whatever TNT (the chanel) is...

I saw a commercial for it just yesterday, I think. However, I don't think it's on HBO or Showtime. JustTripn, are you still watching it?

It's coming back December 6th. It's really good. Really different. Scott Bakula is amazing. He's like a cammelion (how do you spell that word?). I cannot think of Captain Archer when he is being "Terry" on this show. They are completely different characters. On "Men of a Certain Age" Bakula is playing a sexy aging actor, still attractive to 20-somethings. His girlfriend is twenty-something. However, his same-age friends all feel sorry for him because he is so rootless and doesn't have a decent job. They call him a "Peter Pan" behind his back. So he is playing a sexy single guy who is kind of pathetic. And he just embodies that character, who is so different from Jonathan Archer.

It's on TNT.
