Well that sucks, Bether. I hope that whatever-it-is that decided to inflict itself on you so suddenly, will decide to uninflict itself just as suddenly. In the meantime, commiserations.

I have returned to whine...appreciate your health if you are healthy. There is so much we take for granted. I have been very ill for 2 weeks now with some kind of sudden onset colitis. It may be a lifelong struggle...don't know yet. But I was for some reason thinking of old times and the fun I shared with friends here and wanted to drop by and say hi. Hope everyone is well. It's comforting being back in this safe haven with old friends. Take care everyone.

Thank you to everyone and also to those who sent me kind messages. I had my first colonoscopy today. The prep drink was . I survived. I've been diagnosed with clostridium difficile colitis...a bacterial infection that I got from taking an antibiotic for a previous infection. Have since lost 15 pounds, but now I finally have an answer. Here's to good health and good friends. Love the smilies!!

My friend, I'm really sorry you had to undergo such an annoying investigation, but I'm glad that the result has not been, so to say, bad.
Take care, though, and see to be well cured: it is an infection far from friendly.

c.diff is a nasty infection, Bether. Take the full course of meds even after you start feeling better, and good luck! Sorry I couldn't give you a ride. (I could have if I'd known the post office was going to refuse to accept the mailing because they were too busy this morning, grrr. Now I've got 5,400 letters in the back of my car all weekend.)
