Appologies to other Serenity/Firefly fans but I just watched Serenity again and I still see no possible romance between Mal and Inara. Like Mal said to Kaylee if he really wanted someone nothing in the whole universe would stop him from beith with her. Well, obviously something stops him from having Inara. So I don't see it as a great romance. Do I think there's affection there? Sure. But true tear apart the universe love... Nope. I still say he and River are still a good match.

River doesn't have schizophrenia. And hello Jayne's not that much younger than Mal. Sorry the age difference isn't a thing with me. Age while useful for legal purposes doesn't have as much baring on people as society likes to have us think. And well Mal and River are extremely screwed up no question, but they match. Jayne is just insane! I'm not saying people have to agree. I'm just saying that id Mal really wanted Inara he would tear apart the Universe for her. He didn't. But he did do a lot for River. If they had kept on the show she wouldn't always be 17.

You might want to wait until it comes over here. My visits to ff.net seems to be coinciding with an awful lot of obnoxious and probably dangerous pop-ups and attempted downloads lately. (Am I the only one noticing that?) I even got one of those conficker virus-like windows popping up (you know, "your computer may be infected, do you want to scan now"...).

Unless it's coming internally. Apparently my son's virus protection has been disabled, since I can't even get the program to open. He of course doesn't notice anything, and ignores any subscription notices. Grrrrr. I HATE dealing with this crap. Even if I take it to a local computer tech, how do I know HE'S honest? The field seems to attract a fair number of sneaky hacker types.

I always go to FFnet using one of their e-mails in my mailbox. It takes a little more time, but I never have any problems.

Alelou, got a notice that my Computer had been attacked but it was foiled by my Firewall and Anti-virus program. That was Ff Net.

The really bad one is Trek BBS. I won't go near the place anmymore because the Ads are so saturated with Trojans, virus and the like. I once had ot pay 100 dollars to clean my computer of the Crap I picked up at Trek BBs.

Used to be that only junk sites had those things but now legimate sites are being hacked iwth it. I am just thoping that htis site doesn't get lumbered with something.

Random story. Last sunday night, while the U.S. was beating Canada in ice hockey at the Olympics, BTW, was the night of my weekly ice hockey class. So I walked into the skate store at the sports complex, stick in hand, hockey bag over my shoulder, which I laid down in front of the desk. I said, "I bought this stick here last week, and we cut it down, but it's still too long. I need another inch taken off."

The guy says, "Sure we can do that, but if he were here it would be so much easier."

I said, "I'm sorry, what did you say? I don't understand."

The guy says, "If he were here, he we would know exactly how long we need to make it. He could tell us or we could measure."

I said, "Who is he?" (Thinking a coach? the owner of the store?)

"The one you bought it for."
