Good luck, Priso and Jennifer and baby. I've had friends who've spent the last weeks in the hospital on total bed rest but their babies are all happy and healthy children today.

 Lucky you!

Thanks priso, for the update. :? Poor enterprikayak on bedrest. :( And she already had cabin fever. I'm glad she and the baby are somewhere safe. Best wishes to the whole family.

Hopes and prayers. Tell her to enjoy all the attention and getting waited on.

Chill out man. Our last one was a month early, and my wife had pre-eclampsia (sp?) to boot with an emergency c-section. And everything came out a-ok. Now that they have her in the hospital she will be fine. Having a baby is like tuning a car nowadays. Routine.

I'm back! I had a bit of bleeding on Thursday but they've decided it was just from me cervix...not the placenta or anything.

We left the house thinking we would be right home again. I had no toothbrush or clothes or anything.

I sat around bored as a stone all thursday, friday, and today. got two shots o' steroids to hurry lung development and had a bunch of fetal monitoring.

I told them I was a vegetarian. They brought me turkey. So I told them I didn't eat any meat. The nurse crooks an eyebrow and goes, "I'll see what I can find."

She brought me a shrinkwrapped square of cheese and some celery sticks.

But then the next day there was bread around the cheese, and they also gave me a boiled egg. Other than the food, my stay was fine.

Three nights+two days in hospital bed $0
All my normal prescription meds $0
Baggie of toothbrush, paste, comb, and antiperspirant $0
3 days of phone service $9

Sounds good to me. Glad everything is okay.

Here it would have cost thousands of dollars and the food still would have sucked.

Well, except at Hackensack Medical Center in NJ. I swear, it's like a freakin' gourmet restaurant there. Honestly, you might want to stop by sometime and just eat in the cafeteria. My son still talks about the pizza.

Lafayette General's got a pretty nice menu as well. Comes from being in south Louisiana, I guess. When there are a half-dozen five-star restaurants within a 5 minute drive of the hospital the food's bound to at least be edible. My husband brings food home from the doctor's dining room all the time. They do great fried chicken, and the chicken sausage gumbo is to die for... not to mention the blackberry cobbler. Darn. Now I'm hungry. 8)

Convenient that it's located in a hospital then...

My thoughts are with you, EK. I'm sending positive energy and envisioning some nice baby pictures that you will be showing us on this board in the not too distant future! Take care of your self and the baby!

I'm so tired of being sick and tired!

Things are still going well......did I mention my husband has been nesting?

He decided out house needed to be remodeled.

So I've been busy cleaning out stuff.....which I guess is good. I've gotten rid of a bunch of stuff, so YAY for that!

My doula is suppose to be coming over tonight....so I'm looking forward to that.

And for those who are wondering.....Margaret is a family name on my side, Elizabeth is a Family name on his side.
