jT--Sorry to hear about your great uncle. 107 is just amazing!!
Randomness: I've recently started watching Stargate SG-1 and in an episode I watched this morning, I about died laughing because there was a nod to Saturday Night Live's Enid Strict, the "Church Lady." They were talking about a system lord that was older and meaner than Apophis, and Daniel Jackson described him as "the original Satan," to which O'Neill replies "Hm, isn't that special!"
I realize you have to be old enough to remember Reaganomics to get the joke...but I am...so it was hilarious!

Re: Randomness
I really like SG-1. But now that I finished the first seven seasons apparently O'Neill was promoted and without him out leading the team I'm not sure it'll be so good.
Re: Randomness
Honestly, I don't know where I am in the show...wherever SyFy has plunked me. So far I really like it, would probably like it more if I started at the beginning, but I figure it'll come full circle soon enough. I started with Buffy in the middle of Season Five, and that didn't stop me from falling in love with the show; just when I got around to the beginning, I found that I "got" more things that I saw in the later seasons.

And the 16th creepiest ad, although I think it might really be #1!
Another Pears Soap ad. (I followed a link in the comments):

Re: Randomness
You can watch the first 4 seasons on Hulu. (You can find all of the seasons online but elsewhere they tend to be subtitled, either in Swedish or an Asian language. These on Hulu are good quality, and I think it's worth watching commercials to see them free. They just aren't putting the seasons up fast enough for me.)Aquarius wrote:Honestly, I don't know where I am in the show...wherever SyFy has plunked me. Six weeks? DAMNIT!
Well yes. I continue to write. And on Fanfiction.Net, for those who want, it is possible to cast a glance at my latest efforts. We arrived to
The Ears of the Elves, chapter Forty-four
And here is the beginning of the whole story.
But, I must say, you could also find something else on Fanfiction.net written by me. If you want.

Yeah, six weeks. Five weeks a year is the minimum, and once you hit 40 you get another week. And after that I still have 10 days saved from previous years, which will come in handy around Christmas/New Year's.
Today I treated myself to an excessive laziness and didn't do much of anything. Also, the rain has been pouring all day, so it's not like I wanted to leave the house anyway.

Re: Randomness
I have my No Worker Left Behind thing through the State of Michigan tomorrow. There's a certain irony about having to miss work and therefore not make money in order to sit there all day and listen to presentations about this program that will pay for up to 2 years of school so you will supposedly make more money.
Like anything governmental, it's a little crunked. I mean, things like their office hours and these all-day seminars obviously don't affect the unemployed, because they've got nothing BUT time. But for those of us who are there because we're under-employed or, more importantly, underpaid...not so much.

Sounds like what happens everytime P's high school team plays a team outside the Pittsburgh city limits.
