You have strict rules in The Netherlands when you buy a house for the first time: you need a permanent job and they check if you had trouble paying your bills in the past and you can't have debts (not even credit cards). I didn't get a permanent contract because of the coming merge, but I had to apply for my job again and the sistercompany gave me an permanent contract after the merge. When you buy a house, you also get an insurrance that when you become invalid/ill/unemployed you can pay for your house. Yeah, I live in the country with lots of rules and safety nets.

Panyasan, my daughter was like that too when young. She would just walk off especially when there were other children to meet. We considered getting one of those tethers (you know, the leash for children) but didn't like the idea of "walking" our daughter.

"Part of Me" by Serge Devant makes me think of the bond, especially the whole Season 4 separation/White Space/Bound thing. I'd offer up a lyrics link, but the song's so obscure I've only seen them one place, and they're wrong.

Yeah, that's the song, but they lyrics I found were on a discussion forum for trance music, and the poster has the line "I've searched the innocence of all I know," and it's "I've searched the inner sense of all I know."

I'm holding out for next week, but it's tempting. That was a crazy cliffhanger indeed. And I loved how everyone was teasing them about the pancakes.

Speaking of which, did that episode make anyone else wonder who they'd want to play them in a movie?
