WTF!!! I just started a new job yesterday and it's on the internet. And guess what, today the frelling internet downstairs wasn't working, so the tech guy took the part from MY internet upstairs to put it downstairs, so now I don't have internet connection until they may or may not fix it which means at least a few days. And the frelling wi-fi here rarely ever works so now I'm stuck with a job I can't do. (And yeah I'm currently wasting my time trying to post this if I can have a moment that it actually works but I'm so pissed off right now) LIKE HOW FRELLING RIDICULOUS IS THAT?? It's like something out there really doesn't WANT me to be able to do anything. Still don't believe the universe hates me?? Every time I get a chance something HAS TO go wrong and I never get a frelling break!!!! I just wanna cry see now why I've been stuck in the same place (literally and figuratively) for so long!!! I'm not frelling "stagnating" or whatever!! I'm trying!! BUT I'M CURSED

So find a library or a Starbucks or a McDonalds or whatever the hell you can that has free wi-fi and park yourself there to do it. Library is best, of course, since there you don't have to even buy a drink.

I can't get the signal at the library for some reason. Plus I can't be at the library all day (duh) because it closes. Grrrr. Well I somehow managed to do my job today. I hope they fix the frelling connection on my floor though because I so hate being on unsecured wi-fi networks. And the security-enabled wi-fis obviously don't work here because the reception SUCKS.

You might need to sign in the first time to get onto wi-fi at the library. Most libraries have a policy of some kind they will want you to acknowledge.

I'd say ask for help, but your average circulation desk clerk may be pretty clueless about it. Still, it might be worth trying if you see someone who looks like THE librarian around.

It can be done, if you want to badly enough. enterprikayak's suggestion of roommates is a good one. Believe me, I've been broker than broke, but I've always found a way to improve my situation or at least hang on to what I've got. If I had to get a second or even a third job, I did. I've sold plasma--yes, right out of my own body. Financed my trip to England that way, because I wanted to go that badly. I've also done it for gas money when I was short on cash. You just do what you gotta do, you know?

And if you're that low income, it seems to me you'd qualify for financial aid and grants for education in order to get a higher-paying job so as to not have to go to such extreme lengths in the future. There's also general assistance and food stamps. Try applying; the worse they can do is say no, and you're no worse off for trying.

Whine: my frelling internet connection is STILL down and so is the frelling wi-fi. Everyone else somehow manages to get a signal except for me. WTF and so I'm sitting in the office now because it's the only place I can access the internet. And I'm trying to watch a video and there's this stupid guy sitting here playing the frelling guitar for like over an hour now, and it's the same "music" all the time I don't even know if I should call it "music" because it's just random and it's the same frelling thing all the time and other than being boring and repetitive and annoying I also can't hear anything!!! Gah go away already

...and I've asked the manager and she said they were planning to fix the internet upstairs, but today I asked the tech guy and he said the bitch manager doesn't wanna fix the internet upstairs at all. Not that I had my hopes up or anything. See why I have trust issues. And the frelling wi-fi is still down, for me anyway because everyone else gets the signal. I'm so frelling pissed. I get a job and bam the next day the internet's gone. What the frell is wrong with everything. I hate this frelling piece of dren zoo

Whine: I can't stop sneezing and my nose is about to go Michael Jackson on me and fall off because it won't stop running...so I can't stop blowing it!!

I think I fried my PCs motherboard today or at least something on it because pushing the ON button does absolutely nothing. The power still goes through the motherboard but it just won´t turn on. So tomorrow I have to buy a new CPU, a new motherboard, a new graphics card(I may decide to buy a motherboard with integrated graphics to save some money) and new RAM. Why so much new stuff you ask well the motherboard is about 5 years old and it is easier to get a new one then to search for a used one .

Whine: so not enough that they disconnected my internet upstairs, and aren't planning to reconnect it EVER, and I can't get the frelling wi-fi signal anywhere, and I have to sit in the frelling office to be able to get internet access, well now the internet in the office is down as well!!! Either completely down or just excruciatingly slow. But mostly completely down. And the manager apparently knows how to fix the damn thing, and there's also the tech guy who was just here a few days ago, and nobody's doing anything and no one can use the frelling internet in the building.

This place is like a frelling black hole. This place is DEATH.

Last night I made a giant skillet of the worst Pad Thai noodles of all time, possibly because I screwed the thing up by trying to make so much of it at once.

And today for lunch they are still the worst Pad Thai noodles of all time. You could quite possibly sprinkle crushed peanuts, lime juice and sugar on strips of damp cardboard and it would taste better than this.

And I was extremely excited because a professor friend said she'd recommend me for a teaching position at a local college -- but yesterday when the ad came out I discovered it's an adjunct position. Which means it probably pays a lot less per hour of actual work than Target or Wal-Mart, and would never result in an actual permanent position that pays a living wage.

But I still sent my application off. In this economy any money coming in the door is at least money coming in the door. And at least I enjoy teaching more than working a register. Though in the past it actually supported me, which does help one's attitude quite a bit.
