Oh dear . . . I'm a little late to this thread and wow all the trouble.

Well, the most important lessons the mid-wife ever told me was DON'T SHAKE THE BABY. We all laughed at this and the midwife got really serious and went, NO! THIS is the most important thing I will ever tell you: At some point, you will feel like shaking the baby, But put it down in the crib and walk away and let them scream it out.
Weird. You will never believe it unless you've been there. YOU love the baby so much you want to kill it. There should be a hotline for new mothers (there probably is). I remember once, my cousin came by and took my 2 year old out for french fries so I would concentrate on the twins. I was going nuts. And I picked up the phone and called him and he was there! I hope you have someone like that for an emergency. As silly as it sounds.
T'Poptarts, before you hit rock bottom get up and leave the zoo!!! Worse comes to worse, get on a bus and come to Pittsburgh. Sleep on my couch and get a waitressing job to support yourself. Heck you might even have a friend who lives closer by. Or a sister. Go sleep on their couch before you go completely nuts.
