Oh, I'm sorry, CX.

It's flavored with passionfruit
an appropriate ingredient, don't you think?

Re: The Whine thread.
Oh God yes, that's miserable.
You know, it's okay NOT to be an anchor for someone else when the process tears you up inside.
It's also okay to tell someone how you feel... you already know the worst that can happen.
The maternal lecture here endeth.

Re: The Whine thread.
This is very bad!

Well yes. I continue to write. And on Fanfiction.Net, for those who want, it is possible to cast a glance at my latest efforts. We arrived to
The Ears of the Elves, chapter Forty-four
And here is the beginning of the whole story.

But, I must say, you could also find something else on Fanfiction.net written by me. If you want.

Thanks T'Poptarts.
I'm sure I'll get over her, just like I have everyone else that this has happened with before.

Re: The Whine thread.
Compared to heartache my whine is a bit silly. I hope that you find someone nice, who falls in love with you.
My whine. For some time I've been deriving two phase Reynolds stress transport equations. I have written about 15 pages of text about that and in the editor where I write the code the equation text looks like this.
I thought that I had finally finished, but just few hours ago we find a mistake in one of the assumptions I've made so back to writing, correcting the calculations and finding where in the code I have to make the corrections. It's also dark outside at half past four (So the season for not seeing the sun has started as it's dark when I go to work and dark when I get home.) I'm tired

Re: The Whine thread.

Short days suck. I've often wondered about investing in one of those lights that are supposed to help with seasonal affective disorder. I suspect my husband would get through the winter better with something like that. Maybe me too, but I am more likely to go outside in the cold for skiing or mucking about than he is. He just hibernates and gets homesick for Puerto Rico.

Re: The Whine thread.
I was met with the first evening frost this season when I got out to drive home from work today. The car windows had to have the thin ice layer removed.

She's got an awfully nice bum!

Well, I don't really know how I do it either

I've been thinking about that kind of light too. There has been very little snow for few winters and it's not looking good in snow front right now either. I always strugle with the darkness until it snows after that I'll be fine, but if it doesn't snow properly this year either I will need that light.

I'm not too fond of Matlab either.
The code text is for latex typesetting program. After it translates the code I've written the equations look like this.

but when the equations are long, like some I've written recently it's horrible to write the code.

Re: The Whine thread.
As if manufacturing lab wasn't fraking boring and time consuming enough, my lab partner has to be the most incompetent and lazy dumbfrak in the class too. He literally sat there and watched me do all of the fraking work today, except the last two cuts at the end. I ask him to go fraking do something so we can get out of there a little fraking sooner to enjoy the unseasonably warm day today and he just fraking stands there, or he wanders off and watches another group work on their stuff because I guess I'm too fraking boring to watch or something. He couldn't even paint a piece of bar-stock today so I could mark off the proper length to lathe down, and he almost lost our work piece because he couldn't even fraking keep track of where he put it.
Needless to say, I'm pretty fraking pissed off right now.

Re: The Whine thread.
Proposition 8 makes me sick.
Maybe it's just me but to me it's like totally sickening and infuriating that they wanna put it in the frelling CONSTITUTION, to force EVERYBODY to live by something just because THEY think it should be that way. Calling it "protect marriage" and "protect children". Like protecting marriages from what exactly?? How in all hells do same sex marriages "harm" (?
) heterosexual marriages?? I mean it's not like it's gonna make straight people marry someone of the same sex just because they can, and it's not gonna make gay people marry the other sex just because they "have to". And don't even get me started with the "children". Playing the children card.
To me it makes absolutely no sense since recognizing same sex marriages doesn't affect the recognition or validity or whatever of heterosexual marriages
it's not gonna change anyone's sexual orientation and it's not gonna "ensure" that kids aren't taught at school stuff they're not even forced to be taught in the first place.
I really don't have a problem with people with different opinions and beliefs and such. But I draw the line when they try to force their ways on everyone else, and take away people's freedom and rights and benefits just because their spouse is of the "wrong" gender.
And this really makes me sick. And like yeah I know I'm not supposed to talk about politics but I'm just so pissed off and I gotta vent. Sorry
it had their frelling ad on my email. I don't want no frelling hate ads on my email. Put some retarded weight loss ads or something instead.
Okay the rabid liberal west-coaster rant is now over.

Oh. And my eye socket/eyebrow bone thing STILL hurts. Like a month and a half after the incident. Grrrr.

Re: The Whine thread.
Well, if we're going to whine about the government, I found out in September that my grant is taxable (not in Australia, in the US) and the taxes are a lot more than I expected. (My previous tax experience was in the broke-college-student-so-they-refund-everything-except-what-went-to-Social-Security bracket, so I was rather shocked to find out just how much the IRS will be anticipating.) AND I have to pay import duties on anything I bring in worth over US$800, even clothes and shoes that I bought and wore here. Neither of these have anything to do with the US government, really, except that they claim their piece of the pie because I'm a US citizen.
CX, can you get a new lab partner?
