But seriously, there are also heavy-duty nitrile gloves available. In fact, my favorite gardening gloves are dipped in nitrile, though they wouldn't be any good for cleaning because the backs are porous. A lot of people have this allergy, so they're having to make other things available. They're usually blue instead of yellow, and they'll say non-latex on the package. Target and other stores carry them.

You're right about those little ones, though. I find they're just perfectly designed to get stuff slopping down inside them. Maybe I'll have to order size S too!

They sell all kinds of latex-free gloves at the beauty supply stores, too, because they're encouraging those in my profession to switch to them since you never know when you're going to have a client who has a latex allergy. Sally and Marlo beauty supply sell to the general public; I don't know if they stock them there but if you have one or the other in your area, it's worth a look because you don't have to be licensed to shop there.

If you have any more trouble scoring some, let me know because I know for sure you can buy them at the pro-only shops and I can get them for you.

Oh yeah and I had yet another expensive doctor's visit and they only did like half the exam then they couldn't do the rest because of my frelling latex allergy!!! And they had to go order special non-latex stuff just for me and reschedule me for whenever the hell they get them!!!!

In other news... I kinda "fixed" my monitor... well not really. But I found a spot on the monitor where applying the right amount of pressure fixes the display. Anyway the only thing I had to put there and hold the pressure (other than my fingers ) was this keychain thingy... the downside is that it has to stay there... but at least it's better than it was before

Whine: One of my professors is managing to drain my energy and my wish to live. It's something about his attitude. While I'm taking what I'd consider to be few classes this quarter (just five compared to my usual six/seven), this one guy has managed to make school a living hell. I just can't pin-point what it is; perhaps if I did, I'd have a better chance at fighting back. And it happens to be the professor of the most important class, which takes place twice a week. Let's see: it might be the fact that he is way too young to be so critical about everything (he can't be over thirty yet); it might be the fact that he always criticizes everything we do and he never, ever says a word of encouragemenet when we do something right; it might be the fact that he never seems to pay attention when you talk; it might be the fact that he arbitrarily changes the nature of our projects once they're started or nearly finished... I could go on, but I'm fed up. The worst thing: still three more months of this guy.

And once you've got your grade, WHINE about him to the other professors, especially the senior ones in the department. If he's that young he probably doesn't have tenure yet. He may even just be a lowly adjunct.

He's probably horribly insecure and taking it out on you guys.

Won't hurt if you can document his ever-changing assignments.

But be careful. Clearly he's not doing this out of a love for teaching or students.
