The thing is I can't ignore it. I have asthma and I can't breathe when there's smoke in the air. And they're just not supposed to smoke here anyway.

My Whine:

God I hate being me. I have some sorta shitty genetic condition that causes occasional problems with my ears. Last night was one such instance. I started to get this earache at about 1am this morning and things got progressivly worse from there. I went the WHOLE FRICKING night without 1 minute of sleep. Thankfully its gone(ish) now and I got some sleep this afternoon, but its soooooooo frustrating.

Oh its just crap from the tubes in my ears. Not an awful lot that they can do really. Fortunately itsgone now, leaving me temporarily half-deaf. Oh well. That said, if I find out which minion of the body came up with the idea of earache I'll rip their nads off. It's one of the most unpleasant experiences I've had to deal with in a while.

Is it possibly an aural migraine? (Affects one side only?) Because there are new meds for that which might potentially help.

I had a nice 12 hour working day and now I'm tired to the bone. Tomorrow's going to be same. First half of the day consisted of digging a ditch for grounding rods and the second half finishing a floor .

Yeah but one thing you don't wanna do (unless you've been to a doc and already know what this is) is ignore a symptom that could be evidence of a larger problem. My mom did that with a sore behind her ear that ended up growing into a big ass skin cancer like 6 inches wide.

Don't wanna screw around with anything above the neck, chief. Or below, really...

I'm not particularly worried. I get these every now and then. It's mainly because of issues when I was much younger (1ish) it's just a part of life now, albeit a piss-poor pain-in-the-ass part of life. It's just mucus buildup cos my eustation tubes are temporarily vlovked and my ear cant drain. I'm just glad I'm used to it and that I'm not a Vulcan, else I'd shot myself by now.

Steroid nasal sprays can work for eustachian tube blockage. Have you talked to a doctor recently about it? You might not have to suffer through it, you know.
