Oh. Well, that's good to know.

My poor friend, though. We met over XFiles years ago. She just started reading my Enterprise fanfic to be supportive (which is REALLY nice of her since I can't summon the interest to read her Justice League fanfic unless it's really short). She's decided Trip's a lot hotter than she thought years ago when she watched the first two seasons. And I hate to see any woman deprived of third season Trip!!!!

Hmm. Maybe I'll get her Netflix for the summer. She's a teacher so she could catch up quickly.

When I came home, my family was watching NASA's Mars adventure. Great engineers. Almost felt like I was watching a live version of Ent. :D I just have the greatest admiration for NASA. Funny to se "the little room" again. When I visited NASA in Houston in 93 I was suprised how small the NASA center really is.

Just watched Battlestar Galactica. Lee Adama the president now that is a nice curve ball. What will they think of next. Man things are thrown every direction possible and shaken around at the same time. Can't wait to see what will happen next.

My husband is watching the DNC rules committee going at it.

I think a little of my migraine nausea may be coming back. It's really too bad there's no way to bottle shameless political posturing and use it in our cars.

Unfortunately, I don't think a complete copy of the pilot episode of TOS still exists. I think someone tried to reconstruct one with stills and such a while back, but I've heard that it's only of interest to die-hard ST-TOS fanatics.

Hey! We die-hard TOS fanatics love this kinda stuff! :D

"The Cage" is a different story than "The Menagerie," so it's fun to be able to watch it in its original form, as well as to see how the writers used the original footage to fashion "The Menagerie."

Back when they started releasing TOS on VHS, they put a full reconstruction of "The Cage" out on video: part color (the footage from "The Menagerie") and part black and white (from Gene R.'s workprint of "The Cage"). And lo! Used copies are available at Amazon for die-hard TOS fanat-- er, film students and Trek completists: http://www.amazon.com/Star-Trek-Origina ... 296&sr=8-5

But wait, there's more! When they switched to putting out the episodes on DVD, somebody found the lost color footage of "The Cage" and released a full-color version, tacking it onto the DVD with the last TOS episode, "Turnabout Intruder." And yessss! There's a used copy at Amazon, for those of you with disposable income: http://www.amazon.com/Star-Trek-Origina ... 494&sr=8-1
