He did show up on occasion as I recall.

What was his motivation for not helping them? I mean, by this time he wasn't a complete a**hole!

He just didn't. The first time he showed up was for Quinn's trial, and at that time he did offer to take Voyager home, if she ruled in his favor, which she didn't.

Hey, Black and Blue is an "Essentialist." Isnt' that the name of the group preaching on Risa during Worf and Jadzia's vacation"?

To a large extent I agree with the philosophy preached by those people. I just think that, as usual, Trek mucked it up. You have to leaven any philosophy with common sense and a realistic acknowledgement of the laws of nature. They didn't.

Actually, I am a right wing redneck fundamentalist survivalist whacko. Caveman. Just to clarify.

Thanks alot, CX. Your thread here has got me off on a tangent, dreaming up a great big Voyager-DS9-Enterprise-TGTMD crossover, which will eat up all my spare time till I give up--probably by this weekend.

My only problem with Star Trek and the series is that the ships are always getting Pummeled by everyone. There were countless times that Voyager should have had a warp core breach.
If I did a reboot I think I would have made Voyager a more powerful star ship. I would have had Voyager garner more tech on its passage thru the DQ.

If I could reboot VOY, TNG, or DS9, one of the first things I'd do is get rid of Q. Echhh.

If I could reboot the 24th century I'd get rid of this obnoxious "evolved humanity" holier-than-thou hippie crap and make it more like TOS. Optimistic but still realistic. And no replicators, no holodecks and no silly "no money" commie crap!

Then I would have a more diverse Federation and Starfleet. I hate that almost all ships looks like variations on one theme (the nacelles/saucer design). One of the things I liked about ENT was that it had distinct and different designs for Earth, Andorian and Vulcan ships.

Oh, and the Klingons would be more like the TOS Klingons in attitude, but probably not in appearence. The Romulans would however not have ridges.

But TOS is totally holier-than-thou hippie crap. It began in 1966, and it shows.

Interesting. I'd do exactly the opposite.
