Actually my physical therapist today was telling me that older people often have issues with foot swelling because the venous return is not as good -- and she said using your calves regularly is the best thing to help improve that. So maybe toe wiggling and such will not be as good as walking or moving the entire foot up and down.

I was pleased that she told me I had no such issues (even though I still have swelling). I've been feeling pretty damned decrepit for the last week and a half. I was pleased to hear she doesn't expect my therapy to be needed as long as the orthopedist had prescribed. (And isn't it nice to feel they aren't going to milk it for as long as they can, which was rather the feeling I got from the other facility last summer.)

Ah well. wife and I were commenting that we did not need to see a Doctor or a waiting room from tusday until the following Monday. Wrong. Cannot remember what I had on Wednesday; Thursday doctor's appointment and X-Ray of foot and ankle; Friday Cat Scan; Monday Wound Clinic; Tuesday Morning some kind of Surgeon and based on results of Cat Scan may put in Stents in my leg(s) which would required at least one day in Hospital. Tuesday Afternoon I am not sure but have some Doctor's appoitment then too.

This is getting expensive as we have to pay our co-pay up front.

I am sick of all of this crap.

Well my whine is trivial. My mom gave my dad a stomach virus which he's now passed on to me. Thankfully mine is mild, but more than anything else it's painful! Obviously, more pain for me is never good. Oh well, I have my Netflix.

I do hope things start looking up for you SB.

Hope you both feel better soon.

Alejandro and I either had a mild stomach virus this morning, or we ate something bad yesterday. It's always fun trying to figure out what it could have been and what in the kitchen or pantry we might come to regret eating yet again. He volunteered to test the Thai Kitchen instant Bangkok Curry soup with another round today... I guess he really liked it.

Sure hope it's not that. I bought a case of 10. When I throw in leftover chicken and dried mushrooms and greens from the garden, it becomes a real meal. (Okay, so maybe it was the leftover chicken... but it wasn't VERY leftover.)

Tomorrow is the colonoscopy, which of course means today i get to eat broth and all manner of wonderful "process speeder uppers". There will probably be the occasional delay in my typing this evening as I am FORCED to deal with pressing matters....

Today I feel like I have been shot at and missed and Shit at and hit.

I feel crappy as Hell.

Nothing bright on the horizon. Just more tests.

Primary doctor got in to a pissing contest with the insurance who claimed she was asking for uneeded tests. claimed she was not a specialist. After 25 minutes they agreed to pay for them. today I get a letter that was pure double talk about payment. so I am not sure if I wil be stuck with the damned bill or not.

Happy days are here again

Advice from friend who worked in an insurance company: never take no for an answer. Pester them forever. Keep asking to speak to someone higher up. Sooner or later they'll give in and pay for what they were supposed to in the first place. Just what you want to do when you're sick, of course.

(Is it really insurance or is it Medicare?)

Coventry. Private health insurance through the Foreign Service health benefits plan.

They have the wherewithall to drag this out though appeals, etc.

More doctors today.

Feel shitty as Hell. NO appetite, shortness of breath.

Things going down hill in a handbasket.

Wonderful

Medicare would probably be easier.

That all doesn't sound good. Hope you get the care you need and feel better soon.

Not trying to sound pissy, but are we really talking about the US of A or some Idi Amin administered banana republic? How come you even have to deal with shit like that? Shouldn't the insurance just pay if you're ill? At least mine does  Somehow this all sounds weird to me (unless I again misunderstood, which is entirely possible).

Hope you're better soon, ol' mate. This place needs a wise ol' voice

Kotik, in the US of A insurance companies love to take in money but hate like Hell to pay it out. Seems they are for profit companies and payout cuts in to their profits.

What we need is Kotik's sense of humor in this dark world.

Just so!
Well yes. I continue to write. And on Fanfiction.Net, for those who want, it is possible to cast a glance at my latest efforts. We arrived to
The Ears of the Elves, chapter Forty-four

And here is the beginning of the whole story.

But, I must say, you could also find something else on Fanfiction.net written by me. If you want.

Did I mention that we all gonna get fired from HP soon? Now I'm officially happy about that :? Late shift called in sick today, probably suffering from TLAS (total lack of motivation syndrome). So now I get to do both shifts for the rest of the week. :-X Just going into 13th hour :faint:

Not really a whine, more like f@!%#g rant!

I've been a cycling enthusiast for all my life. These days, admitting to being a fan of professional cycling is a bad idea as people will look at you as if you just proclaimed that your favourite pasttime is f$@#!*g sheep and raping children  And all that because a certain Lance Armstrong gave himself cancer by doing every performance enhancing drug known to man, surviced it and built a f$"&%@g cult on it. He cheated, blackmailed other riders into doping, assaulted people, who dared to cross him. F$%@! he tried to blackmail Barack Obama in 2005! So, now, because some one-balled psychopath from Austin Texas was so so divorced from reality that he thought his personal assistant went by the name of J. Christ, we're all fans of Hitler now and like to rape sheep and children for fun.
I'm stark-raving mad about it. Somehow the nations of the world managed to hijack a bunch of brainwashed Taliban, flew them to Cuba and turtured the raw crap out of them. They could collect a busload of Iraqis, bumf&%# them at Abu Greibh and record the process on camera. They bombed the living shit out of serbia, but somehow they didn't mange to take down some one-balled self-proclaimed messiah from Texas, who destroyed my favourite sport. Have that stinking scumbag taken outside and shot! I'm seriously mad about that
