You wouldn't have called me that if you'd seen me trying to make sugar cookies this morning. I can do the plain round ones just fine, but did you know that if you roll the dough too thick when you cut out your angels and stars and christmas trees what you end up with are shapeless cookie blobs? I do now. I've got a cookie jar full of them.

But since is the happy news thread, the happy news is that I've finally, after much trial and error, figured out how to do it, so there will be decorated christmas cookies (in recognizable shapes!) on the table at my party tomorrow night.

I'm not one for sugar cookies. Most are too dry for my taste. I will eat them hot out of the oven. But not my favorite. Give me oatmeal or chocolate chip!

I got my Nürburgring "Jahreskarte" today

How did I miss this? Good to find another 'petrolhead' here. I compete in the south of England (I live a few miles away from Silverstone). I've seen lots of videos of people going round the 'ring, but I've never had the guts to try it for myself. I guess you know the course pretty well by now.

My hockey team in the over-30 league almost won the championship! Yes, I realize that's the same as losing, but I'm in a good mood. It was a great game.

Out of three teams! And I ensured our success in the playoffs by skipping them, lol . . .

I'm playing with all men and I'm in WAY over my head. But I'm getting better with each game and did pretty well tonight.

The score was 4 to 4 and the White team scored in the last second.

You are a braver woman than I. They have "wheelchair" Hockey, and "Wheelchair" skiing, but this Kitty says no thank you.

Actually smashing into another wheelchair sounds a little scary, unless you're wearing alot of pads.

I found two bruises today--one on my foot and one on my arm. Must be from deflecting pucks. Yes, happy news. This game is kind of like paintball.
