Dude those 2 new chicks keep cracking me up. Every time I hear the word "Hayes" I get this mental image of that Hayes chick in a fist fight against Malcolm. Confused Poor little scrawny Malcolm, she's like totally gonna waste him she's like this big 7 feet tall chick Confused Confused

I'd make such a horrible candidate for associative thinking research. Confused

Confused Confused Hayes Hayes?? Well or does "Hayes" only serve as a first name for chicks?? Really tall chicks?? Or what?? Confused Confused Confused Confused Confused Any suggestions for what his first name might be?? Confused Confused

I read somewhere that it was "Nathaniel" but I think it's up to the author.

Well, it ought to be interesting for me next weekend. My mom is having surgery on Friday (and I have to work in the morning before her surgery, so I'm going to have to go from that to the hospital and spend the afternoon there), and now I'm working both jobs Saturday, so no chance of being there with her on that day. Everyone wants me to work on that Sunday, but I'm only going to work the 4 hour shift I'm down for at the pet store because Mom should (hopefully) be home from the hospital by that day, since her insurance won't pay past two days for her to be in the hospital (and like I said to her, what if there's complications? Is the insurance company still going to make them kick you out and refuse to pay for it if you stay past?)

And then will start my fun for the next six weeks or so. Basically, my mom is going to be flat on her back on her bed for the most part for those six weeks. Which means my dad and I get to do all the things that she normally does (I'm still wondering personally about the cooking--considering I don't like most of the stuff that Dad eats, and he hates most of the stuff that I eat, so that ought to be interesting), and I still have both jobs to work as well...

So if I'm a bit more stressed out than usual, please understand, it's from what's going on in my RL and isn't necessarily because of anything you guys did. At least once we get past that six-week mark, mom will be allowed to do a limited amount of things for the following six weeks...
Was this the army that invaded your country, ma'am? No, officer, they were taller than that...

How about this one? I'm not sure--get them to march up and down a bit...

According to LFM, it's Joss. According to the CCG (card game), it's Jeremiah. On the show, we only saw the first initial ("J") on his uniform nametag.

And dark_rain, Nathaniel is the name of his son in my Endeavour fics. Cool

I think one of the scripts actually said "Jeremiah".

Which script? According to Memory Alpha's entry on Major Hayes (Here), there is no reference to him being named in the scripts and they're pretty good about annotating those sort of things...
Hayes was played by actor Steven Culp. In an interview Culp speculated that Hayes' first name was either "Jeremiah" or "Jay." In the noncanon novel Last Full Measure, Hayes' first name is "Joss." The Star Trek Customizable Card Game gives his name as Jeremiah Hayes.

I don't remember. I never actually saw the script, either. I just remember reading something about it while I was researching my Malcolm/Hoshi fic, which is why I used Jeremiah for Hayes' first name. It might just be an unsubstantiated rumor.

Hehe Smile Jeremiah Hayes is a good name. Though I'll never be able to suppress the reaction of "Oh my goodness, it's Clayton Webb in space!"
