I looked up James Naismith, Basketball's inventor, and while the game was first played at Springfield College in Springfield, MA, technically Naismith himself was Canadian. ARRRRGH! Yet a another piece of American awesomness yanked away by the cruel Canadian hand of fate!
"Just remember what ol' Jack Burton does when the earth quakes, and the poison arrows fall from the sky, and the pillars of Heaven shake. Yeah, Jack Burton just looks that big ol' storm right square in the eye and he says, "Give me your best shot, pal. I can take it."

Bah, Canadians are just Americans who haven't been scared enough yet!

Damn, at what time was the final? NBC is only showing the coverage now. And in Tyson's defense, he was dealing with that hamstring problem.

Marathon Enthusiasts: Paula Radcliffe has NOT collapsed and IS at the head of the pack... whatever happens... I'm just impressed she beat out David Beckham as BBC Sports Personality of the Year.

Rafa has won! Rafa has won!
Sorry, Vero, but I'm happy, I can't help it.
PS: Alex Corretja has to stop his orgasmic exclamations. You are a commentator, Alex, you aren't Rafa's girlfriend.

RE: Michael Phelps. What was that special recognition he received at the Medal Ceremony of the Men's 4x100 Medley Relay?

Phelps is a Vulcan!
Sure!
A Vulcan "incognito" who have found intriguing the swimming, and didn't want his Vulcan friends to know his passion.
And Nadal is an Andorian, who has hidden his feelers: only this can explain how he is capable of playing like this!

Well yes. I continue to write. And on Fanfiction.Net, for those who want, it is possible to cast a glance at my latest efforts. We arrived to
The Ears of the Elves, chapter Forty-four
And here is the beginning of the whole story.

But, I must say, you could also find something else on Fanfiction.net written by me. If you want.

I think González has been uncomfortable all the match, he couldn't use his right as much as he wanted, but he has done everything he could and he never gave up (there was a moment in the third set when he looked beaten, but he recovered), so he has nothing to regret.

I don't know, a country maybe? Wait, he has Atlantis.
Anyway, he's THE BEST.

They said that if the Person's Republic of Phelps were alone in the medal count - he's be 4th in Golds and 14th in overall medals

Man, us Federer fans can't catch a break lately...
Is somebody watching the Jamaicans run the 100m and the 200m? They sure fly on that track!

Country? The King of Atlantis needs not your paltry country! He is Phelps, Lord of the Seven Seas!
Sadly, her ladyship Dara Torres did not win a gold but I get the feeling she took a look at the rest of the field and said "I'm in my forties and I've got a better body then all of you, I've already won."

Liu Xiang (olimpic champion in 110m hurdles) is injured. He has broken his achilles tendon, and even so he has attempted to run. I cringed every time he grimaced. OUCH! An American athlete in the same event has injured himself too, in the middle of the race. Double OUCH!
