I called up my story "Popcorn" to print it up for my sister (I have recently converted her into an Enterprise fan ), and as I scanned over the comments, I felt somewhat displaced, since readers were talking about how well I'd done with my first story, and posting in a non-native language, and...huh?

Then I realized these were comments for Asso's story "Ulysses." So I checked the comments following "Ulysses." No "Popcorn" comments there, alas. Asso's again, where they belong.

I suppose the original "Popcorn" comments got swallowed up in the crash of '07. But anyway, what's up?

While I was there, I re-read "First Sight" for a little chuckle, and "When Pigs Fly" which is one of my favorite Soval pieces. The description of the bond that Soval had with his wife is so tender and sad.

I'm so happy you enjoyed those two, evcake. "First Sight" was great fun to write, and "When Pigs Fly" is one of my faves. I became a major Soval fan with the Vulcan arc.

Sorry I couldn't salvage your original comments, HR. They may have been lost in my recent boo boo where we had to salvage all of the "hijk" stories from a backup after I accidentally deleted them. I did, however, manage to give you your very own page instead of comments about Asso's "Ulysses" at the end of your story.

So... everybody go read Popcorn again and give HR some comments, okay?

Naw, it wasn't your bad, Dis. I believe the comments got lost in the Crash of '07. I have a hard copy of them, so at least I have them, if the rest of the world doesn't. (Now, if you're in a reconstructing mood, I have hard copy of all my story comments lost in the crash... ) I appreciate the "Ulysses"-free comment zone now for Popcorn, thank you kindly.

Hee hee, no worries, hon. I have them safe and sound in my little comment files here at home. I'm just glad I had the presence of mind to print 'em out before the site went kablooey last year.
