I may have this in the wrong location, if so, I apologize. Has there ever been any info released as to who the finalists were who lost out for the main roles in Enterprise? In other words, who was the competition for Blalock, Trineer, etc? Just curious and y'all are the experts.

I remember watching an interview with Connor in which he basically said that everyone who came to audition with him was there because they were good looking. Apparently he was listening at the door to the auditions and knew he was in with a good chance as long as they wanted someone who could act. It sounds to me as if they were mostly unknowns.

No idea about who else was up for the part of T'Pol, but it wouldn't surprise me if she has a similar story.

So Trip was supposed to be eye candy right from the beginning, huh? But aren't most Hollywood regulars pretty?

Believe it or not, it actually took me a little while to warm up to Trip's looks. I fell for his lovely (if fake) accent first.I think he called out to the latent Florida cracker in me. That and I started watching around the time T'Pol was breaking his heart, and I'm such a sucker for a guy with a broken heart.

I always thought Trip was 'cute' but it was Soval that drew me into watching Enterprise and I kept hoping they would bring him into the story each week that I watched the show. I just loved it when he figured largely in the Vulcan arc in the fourth season. At that point I started hoping he would become a regular on the show. Then it was canceled.

IIRC it was mentioned in one of the extra features on the ENT season 1 DVD set that Jolene was the last addition to the main cast, so they might have had trouble finding an actress that they liked until she showed up.

Amazing interview. It's just like sitting down and having a chat with him, complete with obnoxiously loud drunk people in the background.

That was a great interview. It looked like it might just rehash a lot of stuf I'd already seen early on but then it moved into a really interesting conversation.

And Elessar, you should note the stuff he says about Brannon Braga! And he should know (better than me).
