Yeah, I always took the shower thing to be a fantasy, too, as we're given the impression that it only ever happens the one time...until much later when a few of the cues could be argued that maybe she went back for more.

I have could have known that Alelou wasn't talking about the shower scene :duh:, she always so accurate in her ENT-facts. :D

I always thought of the dream (until the creepy part) being a memory of something what happened after T'Pol dropped the robe.
Part of why I like the shower scene, is there is tenderness and passion combined and I short of missed that in Harbinger.

The things you start to discuss when you are talking about laundry and plumbing! :D

You're right about the tenderness and passion, but I wonder if Trip would be brave enough to initiate that so early? Because yeah, he does kind of look stunned and a little freaked out in Harbinger, and he's still extremely awkward and uncertain the next day. There's no trace of uncertainty from him in that shower. Which is what makes it a great fantasy for T'Pol, at least until she turns into the raving zombie.

Well, she must have picked up something of that tenderness and passion, I hope. I agree, he feels awkward - problably knowing the complications of their actions, but also pleased. That is, before T'Pol started playing the cool cucumber. :vulcan:

But from where would T'Pol have picked up the possibility of making love in a shower unless she's already tried it? I mean it's not logical to do anything besides cleaning yourself in the shower...

Who says Trellium-fueled sex dreams are logical? And who says T'Pol didn't research Human sexuality pretty thoroughly before she jumped our boy's bones?

Not that I know any better than anyone else does. I just don't personally see him being so shy the next day if that were really the case.

Well yes. I continue to write. And on Fanfiction.Net, for those who want, it is possible to cast a glance at my latest efforts. We arrived to
The Ears of the Elves, chapter Forty-four

And here is the beginning of the whole story.

But, I must say, you could also find something else on Fanfiction.net written by me. If you want.

I just wondered why I like so much that at least the dream in Damage was inspired by the events in Harbinger.

I am not a big fan of Harbinger. I can understand the jaloursy-angle and I sort of like the passionate kiss that TnT shared before the dropping of the robe. But after the dropping, you only see Trips stunned face and then the writers did everything just to prove that what happened next didn't have meaning at all by giving us the breakfast scene. First you see Trip, sort of akward, but still pleased and T'Pol saying basicly to him "our love-making had no meaning". That would make any guy uncertain and we don't know what happened in the morning after (waking up and T'Pol is gone for example could make you very uncertain)besides that they had red alert and had to run.

Then - if we didn't get it - we get the "T'Pol was taking drugs - so she was just high when they made love" story (I didn't see any, any clues of that in Harbinger. If any, T'Pol is composted and logical in her actions.)

You can even make the dream in Damage in the beginning a dream, just because of the drugs.

So central message: the love making in Harbinger was meaningless. I really can understand Trip protesting in Bound ,when he thinks T'Pol is saying just that, with "we didn't mate!"

So even when T'Pol did some research, it's not the same as actually experiencing it and growing up in a desert planet where water is spare, would an idea of making love in the shower appeal to you? Or using some much water or wanting to have a good shower? Speculations, I know.
So I will stubbornly hold on to my idea that at least the love making in Harbinger did influence the dream in Damage. And this from a non-romantic, who for some reasons seems to care about this issue. ;-)

:guffaw: :guffaw: You're right. But only when it comes to TnT. You know, Elenor and Marianne of Sense and Sensibility? Marianne annoys me, I really like Elenor. Nice and down to earth.

Well, I'd say T'Pol and Trip are a lot closer to Elinor and Edward than they are to Marianne and Willoughby or even Marianne and Col. Brandon.

Okay, which Austen heroine is T'Pol most like? Hmm. Anne Eliot, I think, though she definitely has a touch of Lizzie Bennett's biting sarcasm. And Trip? Frederick Wentworth, I think, complete with the flirting with other women and the touch of resentfulness. Yep, Persuasion is the best match for them. That's my theory.

(Just don't go by the last television production of it, which was wrongheaded and awful.)

Depends. Did Elinor and Edward have stinky clothes?
